I wish that kind of effort and time table could be applied to construction projects & infrastructure alterations in the real world. These days it takes 3 years to do something relatively mundane such as expanding a few miles of interstate from 2 lanes to 4, each way.
(Interstate 66 in VA between Manassas and Gainsville, as an example)
It is always easier to start from scratch than add on later. Things are always done more quickly that way.
