Its a great idea, but the ride Dan is creating is a lot more complex than RCT can handle. Dan is creating the actual ride and the insides, not a view of the outside. Still a good idea to try though...;)

Everyone assumes it belongs in EPCOT..

You didn't answer my question! What is a dated system of chemistry doing in A futuristic, technology driven theme park? Alchemy was -SO- last (actually, quite a few back..) century ago...

In that frame of mind..ALL the pavillions wouldnt exist..since the sun (energy) has been around forever, as has the earth (the land), the body (wonders of life), the ocean (the living seas) etc....

Its going to be an exhibit of how the elements are used in unique ways throughout history as well as for the future...

..and i am going to say..no..it is NOT a ride ;)

This sounds like it could be a show for Universe of Energy! I mean, a lot of the elements are used as energy sourses.

Well..in a way..it could fit in almost ALL the pavillions..but this one focuses more on the combination of the elements...

Er...Nope..
Elements are an outdated system of chemistry..
The Land will never be 'outdated', not to mention it mainly deals with the USE of the land, not the land itself..Same with Universe of Energy, it's not abotu the sun, it about how we use the Energy in our everyday life. Wonders Of Life? About the science of Medicine...

Bottom line is, that this idea (whatever it is) May be a great attraction.. But unless you can really show how Earth, Wind, Fire and Water are really the true make-up of everything on the universe (which I can almost gurantee you, they are not..) It doesn't belong in EPCOT, not to mention that, as you pointed out, two of those elements are already represented in Future world, but with a much more appropriate approach.

I hate to be negative..but someone has to do it..

Well, I do have to agree with Chad, but I think it is possible to have an Elements attraction in EPCOT and have it work fine, you just have to look at it alittle differently. Well let's first assume that science can pretty much be traced to nearly every pavillion in EPCOT(except Imagination) so anything deailing with science would be appropriate. So what if instead of it being an Elements pavillion with an Elements attraction, what if it was a History of Science Pavillion with an Elements attraction. Then entrance could be an interactive area displaying historical views of science showing the progression of it thorugh time, you go onto the elementes attraction, then the exit is another interactive area showing how science progressed to it's modern standard and practice.

This would work perefectly fine there are or were a history of communication and transportation in pavillions already, why not make one about chemistry/material sceince.

I think with a few minor altrications to the direction of the pavillion and the pre-show, post-show area, it would fit in fine.

It will make a lot more sence once i get around to posting more about it...

I can just tell you that elements CAN fit into epcot just the same as the rest...they are not outdated...since last time i checked wind, fire, water and earth are used for various tasks each day in one form or another....

Hey, I learned in Physics that that was what the greeks thought everything was made up of: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air (wind). Did you have that in mind, NowInc?

Like What? Summoning Captn. Planet? Yes, they are used in our everday life..The Land (for food, and living on) and Water (For drinking, cooking, cleaning, composing 70% of our body weight) But they both already have pavillions. Half of your proposed pavillion is already redundant. Wind is used for practically nothing except for breathing. With the exception of the rare windmill. Oh! And sailing! Now /theres/ something futuristic! (laced with sarcasm.)

And JLW, You're EXACTLY right, Elements are an ancient and archaic system. The greeks where genius's of their time..but hey, they were wrong about some things.

As I've said before, I'm not bashing your ideas, just the placement of them..The chemistry pavillion sounds promising, so long as after whatever this attraction is is immedietly followed up by the correct information being presented..Sort of a 'that was then, this is now..' type deal.

BTW, I'm placing my bid on a carousel of progress type attraction.. :)

LoL...well..i AM greek..hehe

...and i found that CoP comment amazingly amusing...but nope..close tho ;)

Wind is used for more than you think..i didnt mean in its literal "straight" fashion..it has a lot of in-direct effects on things. As with the other elements..fire by itself is usefull..yes..but combine fire with other things and you get something else. Thats what i want the pavillion to be about..not them as straight "fire, wind, water, earth"...but how they are used together to be usefull...

..BTW..for those who are new here..me and chad have these type of debates a lot...we really do not hate each other ;)
