Nice work!

Hey Dan, nice work man! I love making new rides to WDW parks too.....I would really love to be an imagineer. I have some ideas of two rides to Magic Kingdom on Florida. One woul be on Frontierland and the other one would stay at the place where 20000 Under the sea used to stay. I have written the story of the ride, have done some drawings and I am starting to make some 3d models at 3D Max...when I finish it I will place here to show u. Once again, congratulaations...your ride seems really cool. Can't wait to see more.

I know i say this 1000 times a month, but im still working on this! The main problem is that when i started this whole project, i had tons of free time on my hands...and all of a sudden life found a way to get all complicated and busy on me....all my "free" time is usually spent catching up on other things and projects here and there...but no worries.."elements" is still high on my priority list..

.....i figure since you have all been waiting so long i might as well clue you in as to its "ride"...

...basically...and i know you will agree this was REALLY not worth all the hype...its going to be a sit around presentation...imagine alien encounter...only things are happening all around...water flowing from above down into the center, fire shooting up from the middle..etc..remember..this is EPCOT...so a "strong" story really isnt the main focus as much as an educational purpose ;)

This leads me to the next question: Are you going to create a bunch of screenshots, or are you going to create FMV of the entire ride from the queue line, the ride itself, and to the exit? *crosses fingers*

...oh yeah, to refresh my memory, you are using Maya, right?

Yep..im using Maya..and a custom render engine me and a friend wrote....which is also unfinished..oops

I actually have a 9 minute animation done of the entire show...took me 2 weeks to render on my network..its currently on a Beta tape on my shelf...i sadly lost ALL the original rendered stills when my server crashed all those months ago..so i have 2 options..re-render..or rip the beta to digital...both are time consuming...grrr

Last thing i was working on was the walkthru of the que...and i have yet to finish modeling the OUTSIDE of the building...thats only about 20% done...oops

*blows dust off this thread*

Wow...heh..

I actually did some work on this a few weeks ago when i had an hour or 5 to myself...

I updated all the files to work in Maya 4.5 (kinda useless now that I have a maya 5 beta rumored to be arriving soon)..and started doing "hand made" textures for the outside..but nothing that spectacular.

I wish i spent LESS time on other projects and just tackled this one..but o well....im NEVER going to stop working on this ;)

...just in case anyone cares..hehe
