Since the promo Free Dining has expired, what will Disney have up it's sleeve for the next promo? Does anyone think Free Dining will be re-released in April/May like it always has?

Just curious...I'm already booked!

Well when we used the ddp before we picked places out in the park that we would be at. The fun part for us was using google calendar to keep track of how many different table service points we had used. Oh and really the only good use of 2 table service points were the dinner shows, the brown derby wasn't worth it or the select seating we got for fantasmic!

I use calendars & such to try to plan meals where I think we'll be but we often change what park we go to or what we're doing on the fly. Sometimes that doesn't mesh w/the ADRs I made. In the moment one has to pray for a miracle walk-up somewhere else, skip an ADR, or be restrained by it. I hate hate hate the thought that what we do has to be dictated by ADRs. But, if you don't have 'em you'll be relegated to counter service meals. There's only so many of those one can take. Ya know?

I'm upset because I didn't know you got free dining for the length of your stay. I missed out! We're going Sept. 1-Oct. 6, and I would have had free dining! Heres to hoping for a room discount at least! At this point, with no discounts, it's too expensive.

Oh god I know, I know that disney has tried to increase the variety of CS restaurants but at the end of the day they are still disney themed fast food restaurants. It would be nice to just call in for a reservation after breakfast but disney's call center would be blown up with that many calls. It would help to walk up to a restaurant if you know beforehand what times are free for a table without an hour or longer wait.

What? If anything it has been the opposite. Any normal day at MK, you have Columbia House, Pecos Bills, Cosmic Rays, Pinocchio's, and Casey's. Thats about it. Columbia House does have a variety, but Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills both focus on burgers, and Pinocchio's servers the same pizza everywhere else. Their unique item, the Figaro Fries, was seriously cut back until its just normal cheese fries. (If that) And they closed the different choices in Tommorowland Noodle Terrace and El Pirata y el Perico, and when they do serve food, it has been synergized with the other options. A few years ago we would bring 4 pages of menus with us so we could see what our choices were. Now it fits on a single page. The Electric Umbrella recently had a dumbing down of their menu, (not that I bother eating outside of Morocco or Sunshine Seasons) and DHS seems to be constantly dropping the different choices from their menus.

Cosmic Rays is more than burgers, they have alot of chicken options and other sandwich options. Yak and Yeti have options that aren't standard in the wdw. The land also have a wide amount of options.

As long as the schedule is out for park hours...I can make my ADR's 400 days out. That is of ZERO issue for me. Once the hours are released, our days are planned immediately.

Agreed 100%! I love being able to plan the ADR's and what parks we're going to on what day real early. Makes life easier for us and allows for flexibility inside the parks.

You cant beat a good spread sheet with the correct fonts and hyperlinks tpo parks and menus.

Or am I just OCD

Sorry for back-2-back posts.

Nothing wrong with being OCD! My fiancee loves that part about me when it comes time to plan a vacation. She doesn't have to think about it.....she knows it will be done and completely taken care of. :)

To answer the original question in this thread, Kids Go Free was just announced for Disney Visa Cardholders. Check out the thread on the News & Rumors board. I received an email about it today.
