"Show" keeps getting worse

I think the problem is not that the signs have not been replaced, but the fact that Disney have previously drawn great attention to their preventative maintenance, huge attention to detail, and fascination with taking a concept to the extreme.

The decline in standards therefore concerns the fan community, not just because it is unacceptable, but that it is a departure from being Disney.

Man, the pixiedusters came out in droves to defend a bunch of clearly ignored posters. Incredible

Lol. Don't pretend the "doom and gloomers" are not out in droves either complaining about something they assume is being ignored but have no idea whether that is true or not.

I am waiting for the next exciting thread about a 1 inch scratch on a trash can that hasn't been cleaned up yet.

One inch scratch and large posters that are part of the storytelling of the land are two different things. You are being dramatic and it makes it hard for anyone to take you seriously. The signs were not that faded when the land opened. I was there soft openings, grand opening and many times after that. They were bright and colorful and they have faded. These are signs in clear view of all who enter the land and maybe the average guest does not notice but that isn't the point. The point is Disney cares about all things big and small and realized that even the smallest parts played a difference in the large story.

I noticed in June 2014 the magic carpets which hang up in IASW that are supposed to spin and go up and down were broken. This was still the case when I visited in September 2014, again it was not working in March 2015.

This would not be noticeable to most guests, however many guests would notice the lack of movement in the scene.

Obviously I don't know the reason for this, nor do I know if it worked in between, but it certainly was not the standard Disney used to hold themselves to.

I worked at the Mouse for YEARS, watching major things be ignored. If you can't see that that's a growing issue, you're blinded.

DLs Fantasyland trumps WDWs 10x over.
They have 13 attractions, plus the theatre where Mickey and the Magical Map is played, and Fantasy Faire.

I cannot wait to go back. I missed Pan and Matterhorn last time but loved the rest of it. Alice in Wonderland is the best of the classic dark rides for both coasts. Didn't see Magical Map either.

I actually noticed these on my last trip and still nothing has been done. If it's still not fixed for my next one at the end of this month (Kong and everything else) then it's a problem.

For me it's also pretty rare that I've seen both rows of dancers at the Taj Mahal. Seems one row is always out lol.

Here in the UK today we have just had a massive retailer "BHS" or British Home Stores file for bankruptcy. They are effectively a national chain of large department stores not dissimilar to Macy's.

Basically they had long stopped refreshing the stores, not adapting to changing habits, but more than anything the stores were no longer fresh or inspiring.

The thing is, if the business doesn't hold itself to high enough standards, no one else will. The management should be constantly trying to improve what they offer to widen the gap between where they are currently and where their competitors are.

This type of routine maintenance with the signs is not even unpredictable in nature. Surely after 40 years of operation they know at what point different types of signage need replacement and how many staff are required to do so?

Storybook Circus and the posters. The posters have been negelcted...this is ok?

You are assuming there is no plan to replace them in the near future. You also feel they are in bad enough shape to be replaced immediately. WDW may feel otherwise and have scheduled them for replacement down the road when they deem necessary. Personally, looking at the photos alone, I feel they should probably hold out a bit longer before replacing them.

Man no one is defending the fact they need replaced but like everything normal wear and tear is to be expected... It is just made into a huge deal and made into something way bigger then it is..... Last year they looked great when I was on property... so in a year did they fade that bad? Or do the replace them on a schedule and we just are not told they did it... Not saying that happened but what do we really know.

A better Dumbo and train station? Hardly worth celebrating compared to everything packed into Disneyland's Fantasyland which will host a Frozen E Ticket in the future as well.
I'm not saying it's worth celebrating just that it's unfair to call storybook circus a ghetto when it brought us some nice additions. Is DL's Fantasyland better? Absolutely, and I'm sure the new Frozen e ticket will be great too.

No one ever stated there are no issues at WDW....this isn't one of them
I don't think it's a BIG issue, but it is a SMALL issue, of which there are a rapidly growing number. Hence the concern.
