I love Spectro far more than MSEP. But no you're not the only one. MSEP has a lot of fans.Am I the only person who actually liked msep more than spectro? I saw both, by the way.
Nope, not just you. This news doesn't bother me a bit, I'd much rather get a new parade sometime in the future.Am I the only person who actually liked msep more than spectro? I saw both, by the way.
Nickle and diming is why they were even considering bringing back a 20+ year old parade. It's time to move on with something completely new.Just another example of how nickel and diming preventative maintenance ends up costing more in the long run. Way to go!
I feel your pain, my most clear and favorite Disney memories were Journey into Imagination, Horizons and Spectromagic. The only thing I have left is Illuminations and I cherish it more and more as my favorite attractions either disapear or fall apart. I just wish that Disney would come up with something that would make me forget about all the lost attractions.Very sad. MSEP will probably eventually meet a similar fate and also run into the ground. I far preferred Spectro over MSEP, particularly the music. The idea of not hearing Spectro's music, potentially ever again, is very disheartening. I feel similarly to the way I did when Epcot lost many of its classic rides and wonderful music attached. I don't expect we'll even see a new parade any time soon either, sad state of affairs.
I agree with what 71 and others have said here though. I want an awesome new parade but with Spectro's music, similar to how Dreamlights was to MSEP (new parade but with the same classic music, perhaps even better). A massively upgraded take on Spectromagic. Given the way WDW has been going lately, It's foolish to get any hopes up.
Unless they simply continue to keep MSEP on life support for the foreseeable future and run it to failure.Nickle and diming is why they were even considering bringing back a 20+ year old parade. It's time to move on with something completely new.
And then cut night parades due to "overwhelming guest feedback, but we continue to evaluate all of our entertainment offerings and opportunities."Unless they simply continue to keep MSEP on life support for the foreseeable future and run it to failure.
I'm afraid I am the confirmer of bad news..
Spectro has seen it's last show.. The damage to the floats is EXTENSIVE.. Termites, woodrot, electrical issue, etc.. All related to the hap-hazard storage that the parade was subjected to.
The price tag to rebuilt/replace most EVERYTHING is approx. 2.6 million.. Management has passed, and it's likely that MSEP will have to roll for some time until a new show can be developed and brought on line..
I'm not happy, and I'm not happy to bring this news to you guys...
I can't believe my last viewing of Spectro was.... my last.
Any confirmation this is true? I'd totally believe it since TDO is pretty inept...
From another insider... not just one person.I do not think Disney will confirm Spectro being gone forever.
RIP Spectro. On this magic niiiight... oh I'm gonna miss that music
Like others have posted, I really hope they consider a re-imagining of Spectro and utilize the soundtrack. I really think the music is still fresh and hardly outdated.
