Iam not sure I understand the issue with AP and Magic Band. I was just there 1st week of Oct. and I was able to link my AP to my magic band.

In all honesty thats all the internet really is. Bunch of negative people and can't find anything good in the world.

Does that include YOU ?!?

Seriously - I don't think that you are being fair. Sure, there are some $#!&-stirrers, but Sometimes it just helps when people vent, or they find others that saw the same things that they did. it validates their feelings and for as much as we pay for a Disney vacation - we should be able to say whatever we want. heck-we should probablty get a free manicure for that kind of $$. I also think it is better to be honest...that to just be a 'sheeple'. "Baaa...the Emperors clothes are awesome. Baaa...we love the new "Stitch" ride. Baaa...We don't mind that the Yeti will never work again. We love everything Baaa."

I am confused isn't this a fan site? Everytime I come on here it is just negative. Apparently WDW is just the root of all evil and you people just need something to complain about. There is no doubt in my mind that if Disney came out with a list of 10 things coming and 9 of them were brand new state of the best attractions in the world and the other just a M&G. You people on here would be complaining how cheap disney is that they didn't do 10 of the best attractions. I come to this site for updates on new things and tips for planning my next trip. I guess I can get that elswhere because on here it is just a bunch of complainers.

It is a fan site, and the discussion here reflects the current thoughts of the fans. That does not mean they will all be favorable. Fans are some of the companies harshest critics.

We have over 5 million posts on this forum, and I could easily find you a couple of million very positive posts. Have a look in Trip Reports, Trip Planning, Dining, Running, and some of the other boards.

You can link an AP if staying at a WDW resort. The complaints are from those APers who want to use FastPass+ without staying at a resort.

No, since you are only eating the ears it doesn't count as any points. It's along the same lines as broken cookies have no calories. Rules to live by.

Hey there - now I have to put down my broken cookie to type how much I like this !!!! Does that count for just the top point of a "dole whip" also??? How about just the 'loops' on a pretzel???

Haven't you ever heard that there are no calories, no fat and everything is healthy and good for you in Disney World. At least that is what I tell myself.

That is exactly what I am doing Venting. The difference is my venting is about the negative attitudes around here and not about Disney World. I know Disney world cost a lot of money and I have yet to visit and not think that I didn't get my monies worth. Sure everything can be better and Disney could pour some of their billions of dollars on their parks and they do. They just don't do what everyone likes all of the time. Haven't you ever heard the saying " you can't make everyone happy all of the time" WIth the millions of people that visit the parks I would think that the majority of them are happy with the way things are. Maybe I am one of those sheeple and if so then BAAAAA!!! Sure I would love to have all of the best rides with all of the latest technology but that just isn't reality. When I walk into a park I am overcome with excitement about being there and having wonderful experiences with my family. I don't walk around complaining that they haven't changed a flower bed in a while or if a singing frog isn't moving on splash mountain. I would rather go on everest with the yeti not working properly then get there and it be down because they are fixing it and not ride it at all.

You really are an awesome fan site owner/operator/moderator, Steve. Even if you and I don't agree on all things, I appreciate that you let us voice our opinions and concerns so freely here.

We get very excited when there's potential for greatness. If you look at the forums right when they announced the FLE, there is plenty of positive talking. The stuff that paid off (BoG) is still lauded, and the stuff that was lackluster (Little Mermaid) is a negative subject. Once a major E-Ticket is actually announced for Avatarland (or whatever else comes first), I anticipate that everyone's opinion on the expansion will improve tenfold. That's not to say that there won't be concern for other parts of the resort, but that's why there are multiple threads on the forum. We can praise things in one thread, and complain in another. Unfortunately, right now, they're not giving us any specific news to look forward to.
Just my 2cents on the magic bands.....I think they are great idea and they are not some conspiracy to steal all of your personal information. Besides if you are booking a trip they have all of that anyway. The current key to the world cards can have your credit card info and your names and such on them now. What is the difference. So what if they can track you in the park and tell where the crowds are and maybe help relieve some the congestion. SO WHAT!!!!! Do you not think they do this now? Now they just have CM's in the parks doing it with the bands they can do it electronically.
I agree with you on that one: the conspiracy nuts drive me insane. That's not to say that I'm a fan of the current way MagicBands are operating, but I think that, once they get the bugs out of the system, there is HUGE AND GREAT potential for the technology. Whether it will ever be worth the price tag is a whole other topic.

I think you missed my first sentence. I have been off for a while; however, I enjoy critical thinking, and discussion. This is a "discussion" forum and I don't see anyplace in my response where I give my opinion on whether or not I like fastpass plus. Honestly, I love wdw and will vacation there with whichever system wdw has in place. So, I think you're a bit too qu ick on the reply trigger there.

Discussion is ok, even if someone says something you don't agree with. At least that's what I think, being from ablong line ofpeople who enkoy conversation, critical thinking, and the points of view of others.

Maybe yiu should tell us your favorite attractions and resorts so we are all careful to make sure we agree with you. Lol.

I love the idea of the bands. I love that I won't have to take my wallet out to get my passes out, then take it back out to get fastpasses, etc. I mean, to be able to enter my room, parks, charge merch, charge food, and fastpass rides on one bracelet is really cool.

We're critical because we expect better from the company.

This isn't about paint or lightbulbs, we're talking about big picture ideas as corporate compensation and the budgetary process that seems to ooze from the mouse these days.

And we don't like that a company built on entertainment is told by bean counters & profit margins what & how much they are allowed to entertain us.

No, I think much of the negativity stems from the fact that Disney has, as of late, been building restaurants and Meet & Greets, rather than building high-tech, immersive, knock your socks off attractions, despite 3 of 4 parks being woefully short of attractions/rides. I am actually looking forward to see what they can pull off with Pandora.
