Rumor lightyear update to the buzz actions in the parks.

No disrespect intended, sorry if it came across that way! I just tagged you to see if you could weigh in on the possibility that it was true that this person’s email snowballed into the story being posted. It’s super easy to fake an email screenshot, so I was just curious how/if this affected the possibility of any of this at all. Keep being the best 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
It’s part of why I don’t run a blog like some others. Here, I feel comfortable sharing when informal discussions are taking place. I would not, however, make a blog post at this stage. The Shadowy Place should feel obligated to vet its stories better before misrepresenting occurrences in the company for clicks.

Lots of things are discussed in meetings. Most never happen.

FWIW, this is one of those "rumors" that anyone on this board could have guessed, without having an actual source, and have a high likelihood that the idea has at least been kicked around.

But those sort of stories are that other site's specialty.
Its also not really correct. The plan is to use Lightyear with Disneyland's Tomorrowland overhaul. And then that might get the new attraction ported to WDW.

That is what was insinuated when there were big hopes for "Tomorrow Land" starring George Clooney. That went away quick when the movie did not get the projected results.

Buzz Lightyear is projected for a release date of June 17th, still a little time to go but the trailer did not create much of a stir or interest. Any park applications related to a movie generally follow how successful a movie is, Disney has a record of being slow that way. Don't really see this movie / animation being a hit despite attempts to spin some controversy into it.

Speaking as someone who’s involved with the Pixar/Toy Story fan community, believe me, there is a stir. I know it’s popular on here to hate on the Toy Story franchise, but there are plenty of fans who are excited about Lightyear.

I have no knowledge of whether it's "correct" one way or the other and I'm not going to claim otherwise. I'll leave the assertions without evidence to you "insiders."

I don't want to assume anyone misrepresents or fabricates information they receive for clicks.

But at least publishing a story makes that site somewhat accountable if the information ends up not being true. My belief is if you expect anyone to trust the information you provide, you should attach your actual name to it.

Absolutely each I.P. has its fan community and there is always the counterbalance of (for one reason or other) haters too. Within each fan base of course there will be excitement with each new offering the reality is despite fan community excitement that does not generally translate to good results. More features come up short on expectations than exceed.

We’ll see.

They blew half a billion on a roller coaster plus paid hundreds of millions more to tear down a perfectly good building to build some fountains. Then add a hundred or so more for oil rigs.

They don’t know how to appropriate funds.
I wonder if the $450 mil Guardians budget includes some of the Shanghai grifting money and the "no seriously, our bad" ScarJo money.

Stop calling people out for their hateful comments? Why are we tolerating this? This isn’t an argument, this is people spreading hate. Please delete my account I don’t want to be a member here anymore.
It is not your job to call them out. Please report any hateful posts and they will be dealt with. Responding in kind only continues an argument.

I think the issue for us are those repeat users who are allowed to remain here to instigate this stuff. If a member with 20+ years is asking for their account to be deleted, it’s pretty bad. I respect the job you have to do so much but I also recognize the member frustration. ❤️

Just deleting comments does nothing to teach anyone why the comments are wrong, though.

That's also how we end up with people like my step-father, who had a black co-worker and thought that because they were friendly, that it would be okay to tell that black co-worker a racist joke, then was all shocked when he got fired.

I don’t think this movie is going to be as big as they think it will be. New buzz look and voice is going to be a little weird too.

Whether you agree with it or not, where they added back in a scene and using it to make another statement again isn’t going to help overall either I don’t think.
Sheesh. They just can't leave it alone.

Anyways, if they were to intend to change it could they at least upgrade the blasters to be free range rather than bolted to the chair itself..The blasters could hardly get to certain targets unless you get to a closer range..And while we're at it they can finally upgrade that disappointing projection room with actual targets to blast at..It's like watching an educational film seeing all the dust specks when your in there...
