OMG please no teen idol....ever for RcRc. If they change the band i would not care as long as it is a good band & a rock band. but i rather see it stay the way it is

I heard new information

I have been told by many people that Yes Aerosmiths contract has ended, and the plan us to use the Muppets as a theme. The band would be that muppet band with animal is the drummer.

Drop Aerosmith. Honestly. They do not belong at all. Steven Tyler doing 'the shocker' in the preshow is ridiculously trashy and uncalled for. I love RnR but the inclusion of Aerosmith rubs me the wrong way. I'd rather have them do something fictional.

I really hope Disney keeps Aerosmith for RnRC. It fits so perfectly that it would be a shame to see them change it. And please keep anything like Hanna Montana out of that ride. I'd actually like to enjoy it. :)

Well, Since I have not ridden Rock and Roller Coaster or Hannah Montana, I feel I should temper my comments. . .

First choice, like a few others have mentioned, would be Van Halen. You could almost just string together some of Eddie's Solo's. A launch to Eruption would work out well, IMO. (I am basing the ride to possible similarity to Flight of Fear at King's Island). For the record, I think it would have to be the David Lee Roth version.

Second choice would be Spinal Tap. What a way to tie together Movies and Rock. And yes, the pre-show could be awesome.

And for the comment that U2 is not political, they are as non-political as the Kennedy's. . .

Oooohh... I would love a Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem ride...

Any sources on this?

Intersting concept, though I'm not sure how it would work with RnRc. Either way, you'll quickly learn that you've got to cite your sources (and bus drivers do not count).

Personally, I rather enjoy the status quo, and I think that Disney would be happy to just keep the ride open and not have to go into a refurbishment and close one of the big attractions of DHS.

Seriously? What don't you like about DMB? Honestly they are my favorite band ever. Have you ever seen them live?

So you're saying they're a great choice for an inverting, launched, high thrill rollercoaster?

Are you kidding me? Therer's a difference between liking a band and realizing they don't fit everywhere, and then that.

As long as they keep Ileana Douglas in the pre-show, I'm OK with any changes.

How about Elton John for the music? (some of his more up-tempo songs)

I have posted a couple times that the perfect fit would be music from the early days of Rock (1955-1960). There is plenty of music from that time that everyone knows, is fun!, and fits being played while on a high speed ride.

I'd really love to see DHS add a "land" themed to "the hollywood of the 1950's". The area of the RnRC is perfect for it as there is room for expansion. They could move the Prime Time Cafe there and add other shops and attractions. This would have been a better place for Dino-rama-esque rides to be located along with other 1950's themes like a drag racing ride. Just a thought!

Van Halen would fit well, but they can't be trusted. They are the type of band that can break up at any moment. The ride wouldn't be the same if it had a band that isn't around anymore. Unless they change the story but if they do that they should just have a made up band or use Spinal Tap (like you said in your second choice) and add some comedy to it. That way the ride wont be pleasing to just a limited audience and everyone can enjoy it. Having one band has the tendency to do that since not everyone is going to like that "one band" they would use.

If they drop Aerosmith they will not be adding a specific band unless it is Disney owned. The best hope is for a genre or era of music styles involving many bands and songs. Otherwise it will be HM or some other Disney developed product.

No, its awesome because nobody notices it unless somebody else tells them its there.

Aerosmith, while not one of my favorite bands, is Rock 'n' Roll personified, and like many have said, one of the very, very few bands that most people can agree fits with RnRc. I mean, they also just got their very own Guitar Hero game... they have enough fans.

And you're basing this on what? The easiest route from here would be to have Aerosmith sign another contract, which I'm sure they would be glad to do.

I love the Jonas Brothers....but I hope they dont make RnRC into a Jonas Brothers themed ride....for one because when you hear RnRC you think Aerosmith...it just goes perfect with the theme of the ride (so Ive heard) and two because I am HUGE jonas brothers fan and I hate roller coasters and I wouldnt be able to get over my fear... :( and HANNAH MONTANA???? that would be really stupid...if they're going to make a Hannah Montana (or Jonas Brothers) ride they should make a new ride and make it a smaller ride that little kids can ride (since that is the target audience)

Woah, calm down. No need to flip out. I'd love to see Aerosmith stay in the RnRC. I've said that multiple times. But, as a hardcore DMB fan, it would be cool. Here is a track listing for the ride in DMB did it:

Lauch: The Last Stop beginning
First 2 inversions: Too Much
Mid-ride break run: Rapunzel jam
Final break run: Ants Marching jam/ending

But, Aerosmith is a much better choice. I know that and would hate to see them go.
