When changing directories do you use a slash
cd\
or just cd
i cant get past the initial dir list
do you take the space out of the directory name or leave it in?

mirc auto-copies anything you highlight in the main field. (you have to highlight from left to right though).

Hi! I've uploaded these to Popkid's server as DIVX. I have uploaded these Travel Channel episodes:
o Imagineers
o Animal Kingdom
o DisneySea Revealed
o Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes (wishiwere's source.. I re-encoded it into divx)
I plan to record Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes this coming saturday and encode it. It'll look cleaner than the re-encode of wishiwere's source that Popkid had on his server because I will be compressing the original source and not a second source like I had from wishiwere. My goal is to come up with a watchable version that isn't too big to download. We'll see how it goes.
Anyway, these Travel Channel episodes can be found on Popkid's server. Come join us on DALnet on irc in #disney-central.
Just checked.. popkid put the vids in the (((TV SPECIALS)))
folder on his server. Feel free to message me (BCX or BencJedi) if you need some help accessing them.

I haven't been able to get on popkid's ftp for a couple days now Grizz. Well, I can get on, and see the two main folders, but after that, nothing shows up--unless it's just being really slow, and my patience just runs out.

Well, I still can't seem to get on Popkid's FTP. I can log on fine, but for some reason it sticks on "getting file list". . .strange. Luckily, the IRC channel has kept me access.

I just got back from a magical three-day quick trip to the Magic Kingdom, and needless to say, I had a wonderful time.
But I have some questions:
1) PLEASE tell me why:
Why don't we have a recording of the preshow/queue music by Bruce Broughton for Honey, I Shrunk the Audience? Don't get me wrong: I'm grateful for what we do have (especially the load/unload version of the theme), but the much longer arrangement of the theme played in the queue area before the preshow is just spectacular. It must exist!!!
2) AND while we are at it:
Why don't we have a recording of True Colors as played during the preshow? The orchestrations are superb. Why, why, why?
3) AND finally:
What about the entire score to Ellen's Energy Adventure, undoubtedly Bruce Broughton's masterpiece. The overture isn't enough! I want the slower, majestic load version of the Ellen theme played following the preshow as the audience enters the theatre. Why doesn't this exist?
Can someone help this fanatic, please?

LOL; the answers to your questions are the following...
(a) It hasn't been released
(b) No one has been successful in getting a nice quality version in the parks
(c) No one has attempted/or had success in getting them from the archives, etc.
It's a very hard job to "get" audio...most risky also.

I read recently on one of the other boards that Roger Feigelson, a record producer with Intrada (which releases Broughton's film scores, in addition to limited 'promotional' recordings), tried to get Disney to license Broughton's theme park music, and came up against a brick wall. I think the best we can hope for is some kind of composer promo, along the lines of the promo set that included the overture to Ellen's Energy Adventure. Its just too bad that the Ellen overture was the only piece of park music included in the set of 5 cds.

Hi everyone...I've gotten through 30 pages of this thread trying to get video of WOM. It was one of my favorite rides and I would love to see it, but everytime I try, I get a msg telling me the password is not allowed. Also, when I click the link for the ftp site it's not available. HELP!!!!!!

yea, the whole public ftp thing went away, when popkid changed his method of distrobution from ftp to irc fileserver. so you can get all the media you want from using that. go back a half dozen pages or so (or less) and there will be a lot of into about the irc file server, how to connect to it, and how to use it.
