While this is depressing, it is also gut-bustingly hilarious how they somehow look even worse with the fountains and water effects.

In their next attempt, perhaps they'll try throwing a giant tarp over them.

Just keep digging. Must be a pony down there somewhere...

I agree, the fountains do make it look worse.

In the Parks
Yes
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round;
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

I know it's just been early tests thus far, but there really is something "off" about the look of the fountains thus far. And I don't mean in terms of programming; I mean just how they look as fountains. I think it's a combo of the nozzles being spaced too far apart, strange installation points (the ones on the extending arms especially come to mind), and that there's just no way to mask the massive scale of the tacos.

That should be the home page image for EPCOT on their vacation planning website.

I think another reason this is so hideous(other than the fact is it’s hideous) is that the front half of the park is still a construction zone. If future world was done and landscaped and didn’t have construction walls everywhere it might not be as bad seeing the show equipment there as you reached world showcase. BUT when your entire park is a construction zone this just adds to the fatigue.
