Prices for the Polynesian DVC Bungalows

And if people want to stay in a larger accommodation outside of Disney, they can and will. People pay the prices to be onsite and near the parks, to be IN Disney World.

Sorry to nitpick, but it would be quicker to take an Uber from many of those luxury resorts near WDW to the gates of Epcot, than to get there from a Poly bungalow, so it actually takes less time to get to the parks much of the time if you stay off property and take cabs, compared to waiting for the Disney bus.

If I had enough money to spend two grand a night here I would just take my money elsewhere for better value. Maybe Tokyo? ;)

You could fly FIRST CLASS to Bora Bora and stay in a similar bungalow where you can actually SWIM in the warm blue water and have a room steward catering to your needs and STILL come out ahead financially as compared to a week in these bungalows!!!!

If you're really questioning the value of these they are simply not for you. These are for the people that will spend money on a trip to Bora Bora to get a beach trip in December and then fly straight to Disney World for Christmas with their kids and pay $20k+ for a week here.

You either have the money and don't worry about price/value or you don't have it and you worry about those things.

You missed something there this kind of person EXPECTS a level of service Disney is not equipped to provide, There is a reason 5 star hotels have a fleet of limos and town cars who will meet your Gulfstream on the ramp and take care of everything for you.

There are Hotels in O town which CAN do this, Disney is not one of them.

The posters who insist on bashing these bungalos by a perspective on comparative values are entirely missing the point.
Look, people who can afford $2000 a night for their room alone can probably quite easily afford an additional Florida home and limo service into WDW - if they don't feel like driving their insert your name of high buck vehicle here ________.
Not the point, and I would seriously doubt that those who live that lifestyle would even make such a relative comparison.
pretty sure that anyone who can afford more than 2,000 a night. Would prefer to stay at a real luxury of the Waldorf Astoria or the new Four Seasons in their concierge + butler wings.

They will be picked up at the stairs of their Gulfstream by a hotel town car and whisked straight to their suite where they will be met by a manager and their personal concierge.

If you support a sports team, you're still a fan even when the manager sucks and the team is losing every game, and still retain an interest and follow their journey in the hope that one day maybe they'll be champions again.
Except this isn't a sports team. It's a physical location run by a corporation.

You're posting the equivalent that you hope JCPenny's returns to it's former glory.
