Thanks guys for your kind comments

I have long had a plan to cover history-wise WDWs Main St and Adventureland, plus the resorts of WDW. As with so many ideas, when this will happen is anyones guess. Adventureland began with my POTC edit so at least that`s a start! I have a long list of projects I`d like to do but the real world often gets in the way time-wise. I guess the best thing to say is there will always be something to look forward to.

I often post updates at Mousebits.com - a free to join, members only Torrents site of non-commercial Disney park media. For those who don`t know you can download my videos from there too, and the larger ones are often in better quality than the ones at my own website. But, here is where things stand at the moment;

Summer Nightastic Fireworks Spectacular
A full HD edit, shot over multiple nights by Dan Warren for me. The whole show with a source music / clean live pyro audio mix

Summer Nightastic Electrical Parade - a work in progress. Still being shot by Dan over multiple nights. This will be released in the fall.

Star Tours Ultimate Tribute - to be released once Orlandos version has closed. Around an hour long, in full HD, the complete history and story of the ride, followed by the entire preshow queue shot in Disneyland from multiple angles by Chris Bales - the whole 10 minute Starspeeder room show, shot on tripod showing every detail from the droids to the videoscreen. Followed by the 2 full 5 minute Droidnostics room loops, the boarding area preshow and safety video, plus the whole attraction with a mix of source and shot-with-permission live ride footage. Plus unload and exit. All with full source audio and a new source ride audio mix I`ve produced since I wasn`t happy with the mix available. I`ve brought the music more to the front of the soundfield and added the in-cabin ambient effects not heard on the versions in circulation. I`ll be shooting the differences in queue layout at DHS before it closes, and again hope to have this edit available at the end of September.

Some of you who posted above will be happy with a trilogy of edits that I recently completed and will be posting soon;

The Land - Ultimate Tribute 1982

The Land - Ultimate Tribute 1993

The Land - Ultimate Tribute 2005

All 3 edits are in Standard Def, DV quality 4:3 due to the source material I had available. This was a hard choice given part 3 has a lot of HD sourced material, but I shot the pavilion in detail with this edit in mind in 2007 and 2008 in SD, as well as the 1993 and 1982 footage all being 4:3. But they do contain:

The history of the pavilion, concepts and construction
Walk arounds of all 3 versions looking at changes in decor, layout etc. during the 2 major refurbs

Full multi angle ride of Listen to the Land

Full multi angle ride of Living with the Land with a look at the changes between the original and current versions.

Full, multi angle and best-quality available video edit of Kitchen Kabaret, with a source quality audio mix.

Full, multi angle and best-quality available video edit of Food Rock, with a source quality audio mix.

Symbiosis in full

Circle of Life in full

A look at the addition of Soarin' followed by full walks of the entrance and exit lines and the full ride edited from freely available high quality and source footage. Part one is 1 hour 5 minutes long, part 2 is 54 minutes long and part 3 48 minutes long.

In addition to this, I also have long dormant plans to do a GMR Ultimate edit, possibly an Everest edit (when the Yeti is worth talking about), something Muppet-wise, a WEDway-TTA Ultimate and perhaps revisit SSE in HD. I`d love to produce HD Ultimates of the COP and American Adventure, but the recording ban is a pain. I won`t break the rules. These 2 edits would requite a lot of time to shoot multiple passes of each show, so unless rules are relaxed or I get an invite (!) I can`t see these happening. I have produced the 1982 American Adventure and 1980/93 COP versions however a while back. In 5 weeks I`ll be on my way for the first time to Disneyland, and I hope to shoot enough to produce multi angle edits of the key shows and attractions from the west coast. So that`ll be my editing taken care of for the next year at least :)

Thank you all for your interest,
Martin

Still a ban on videotaping in COP?

I have video I took with my Digital 8 mm Sony camcorder I think the first one was May 2000.

And a few other times but, they do mention now that they don't want video taping so I follow the rules like Martin and don't do it anymore.

(Just so everybody knows, the young lady that was running the COP that day for COP did not give the spiel for no video etc and I sat all the way against the back wall so I wouldn't disturb anyone and no video light. The other times I did this I asked first. The COP had maybe 3 other people that night and again sat at the back so I wouldn't disturb the 3 people there. The CM said it was OK because it was slow and this was maybe in 2001. Do not want anyone to think I was a video hound or something. I was given permission by CM and the other time was first trip and was not indicated by CM)

I got a CoP video in HD from mousebits that is AMAZING quality. Like actual HD quality. VERY VERY good stuff. Search for it on there...

Martin...any plans on the waterparks? I know its touchy to mix water and nice cameras...but I'm dying for some awesome footage of those parks!

Mate, have a great time!

I can't believe one of the world's greatest Disney parks fans is making his first pilgimage to DL!
The MK is grander, Paris newer, Tokyo the best managed, but DL is lovely. Walt's park is special.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for all your hard work, Martin! Have fun at DL! I have a feeling your west coast mixes will push me over the edge and we'll be driving west sooner than later.

So what is Martin's ultimate wish for future productions??? :D

Am I in trouble . . .

So this morning I got to work, sat down to check my emails, etc. & cruise through the news posts on WDW Magic, just like I do every morning before the office actually opens. (I get here 20-30 mins early for that very reason).

So I come across this thread, and immediately went to look for a Haunted Mansion video as I had never viewed any of Martin's videos. Jackpot! I pull up the hour long HM video & am about 10 minutes in when my the VP comes into my office & asks what I'm watching, so I shared & wondered if he'd say anything about it. After a minute or two he grabs an extra chair, sit down beside me & we both start talking about our favorite parts of the HM. A few minutes later, maybe 20 into the video, 2 other people crowded around my desk. I aksed the VP is we should turn it off & get to work, as the office had just opened & to my surprise he says "Nah, this is worth watching".

So when the video ended about an hour after I started watching, it was me, the VP, 7 employees, the shop foreman, the Owner & our receptionist.
Awesome video of the HM I must say! Thanks for giving the office a great start to our day Martin!!

Didn't the guy who started the Disney archives just retire? Perhaps there's an opening....??? I'd love that for Martin...'specially after all the time he puts towards doing what he does. Just sayin....

Yeah, Dave Smith is retiring in October after 40 years of being the Disney archivist. He already has a successor, but I think Martin would make a great addition to the team.

Sorry for not knowing what you guys are talking about but could you elaborate on who Martin is? and where these videos are available? I would love to see them.

Thanks

Edit: I see them in his signature now. Sorry for being a dumbo a$$

Holly good videos Batman, those are awesome.

Yeah, I had this same problem. I'm glad that you mentioned where the link was, because I never would have figured it out. I'm dumb and oblivious too.

I would love to see Main Street covered.

I'd love to relive fond memories of shops (Magic Shop!), West Street, the flower market, and past attractions like the cinema, Penny Arcade and Swan Boats. And the vehicles.

(For a great video of the current Main Street: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dcauw81i5K8&feature=related)
I don't get it. This is a fake Walmart commercial.

It is amazing how Disney brings us all together--and makes us feel connected.

Also, Martin, your videos are AWESOME!!! I've been watching a few a day and can't get enough. Thank you for your dedication and wonderful work. I can't say enough!! Thank you!
