My new pages from the weekend. I'm really almost done now, I can see the end in sight. :sohappy: I'm even doing new york for the challenge this week so I can get done even faster.

I had wanted to take a picture of the outside of the empire state building, but there is no way to get it in even from across the street & they were refurbing it anyway, there was scaffolding across it. So I had to settle for the inside shot. I guess that's what most people have to do.

Well, thank you! It's funny that I don't usually like background pages like that, but I got that one at the empire state building so I thought that it was appropriate to use it there. I do like how it turned out. Maybe I'll get out of my rut of not using stuff like that.

It was at the big Toys R Us store in Times Square. It was pretty cool. It would roar and move it's head at certain times. I took a picture of it for my son because he really likes stuff like that.

I really really love the Momma Mia page---the paper almost looks like that velvet wallpaper you see in old theaters....I love it!

And the pictures from the top of the Empire State Building are awesome! Are those clouds in the night picture, or is a flash from taking a picture of the page? I hope it's clouds--that's so cool!

Yes, they are actually clouds at the Empire State Building. They told us when we went up that it was 0 visibility, but we only had limited amount of time in ny so we decided to go up anyway. I'm sure the view wasn't as stunning as it usually is, but it was kind of neat to see it that way. It was all white up there and every few seconds it would clear for a second so you could see the lights below. Definitely a different view that you would otherwise get.

oh man i was right there in front of tru, but since we had 6 kids with us, hubby and i decided it would be best not to go into that one. i so wished we had now, those dino's the kids would have loved.

That is a bummer! It was a really neat store and so huge. But it's probably best you didn't go in because you probably would have come out with stuff you didn't need. :lol:

Thanks. I had to zip through it because if I'm not caught up before our trip, I may never get caught up. I plan to have lots of pictures! :lol:

this is from our trip to ny city. very simple pages, i got a kit that came with a paper destresser and i used it on the mattes, not sure if you can see it or not.

these 2 are in central park.

this one was taken as we were arriving into the city, and going thru the tunnel.

i don't know how you all get you images to be clearer and brighter and less blurred. but i sure have the hardest times. in real life these pages look a lot better, and they are not blurred.
