On Feb 13th I'll be in Orlando by myself after spending Saturday at Daytona for the ARCA race and Bud Shootout. I'm not sure what to do on Sunday, any suggestions? I will be back from the 18th through the 27th with my wife and kids and a couple of friends, we plan on doing both Universals, Magic Kingdom and Epcot on that trip after spending 3 more days at the races at Daytona. Where should I go by myself?

If it were me I would tour the park in this order on my own....

Epcot
MK
AK
HS

I would love the chance to explore the parks at me pace and see all the things that the Famiy does not want to. Have fun!!!

I would go to AK. The "premiere" rides aren't really geared towards small children, and many areas are walk through, so being solo isn't noticeable. It's a better park to tour at your own pace than others, IMO.

And you won't have the heat/humidity that makes it uncomfortable in warmer weather.

I always find it to be WAY more hot and humid at AK...but I get hot, thinking about being hot.

I'd probably pick EPCOT because while being fun, there are interesting learning experiences to be had! Plus, all the great food and drink to sample.

Agree that Animal Kingdom would be my choice. You can really take your time looking at the animals and they have lots of shows too, where being alone is no big deal.

Go to DAK in the morning (it's really one of those parks you have to do alone), and head over to Epcot after you're done. If you're not planning to park hop, then head over to DTD after.

If it were me, I'd be spending the day at Magic Kingdom. While some previous posters made soem really good points about other parks, Animal Kingdom in particular, Magic Kingdom is my hands down choice.

I just love the look and layout of the park, the rides are great, there are some decent places to grab a good meal or two and the parades and fireworks shows are top notch. To be able to spend the whole day there, at a pace that is less than frantic would be a lot of fun.

Personally I love Magic kingdom but since you are doing the other ones anyway maybe if you want something different to eat or drink Epcot might be a better choice. Or Hollywood studios if you like Towere of terror and RocK N Roll Roller coaster then to Downtown disney for shopping eating and some drinks. I would do one or the other. My best advice is to go to your favourite rides and do them as many times as possible cause they may not be the rest of your parties favorites

Since you don't mention Disney's Animal Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios as one the parks you'll be visiting the following week, I would pick one of them (or both, since either can be done in a half-day if you are by yourself). If you get to DAK at opening, or within an hour after opening, you can be done by about 2pm or 3pm easily. Then spend the rest of the day at DHS.

EPCOT would be my choice, and it was last fall - stayed an extra day after a work convention. It was great - Future World all morning and then eating and drinking 'around the world' until close. It allowed me to take my time in countries and see a lot of things I never took time for (or was allowed time for) when with a group!

I agree! Magic Kingdom would be my choice too. There are so many really cool things to do and see there. The sights, the sounds the smells! I love it! I love just strolling through Main Street.....One of the first things I will do when I arrive is walk directly into the Main Street Bakery and take a deep breath...smells so good in there!

I have a similar situation coming up in late February, I will be in town for a convention, and will have a half day to roam around by myself or with a co-worker. The more I think about it, Epcot is probably going to be the choice. My second choice would probably be MK, just due to the number of options available in that park vs. HS or AK.

It is an interesting discussion, as I really like ToT and RnRC, but those 2 major attractions in that park, along with the earlier closing time, does not make a visit worthwhile.
