This is an excerpt from today's e-mail listing several highlights of the Expo, and this one is on Saturday, September 12:

"Take part in the live auction at 7 p.m. in the arena for a chance to bid on one of the most sought-after prizes, Lot 23. The lucky winner will become an honorary Archives Angel (only bestowed upon a select few), receive a limited-edition Archives Angel pin, and tour the Studio Archives as well as Archives' warehouses around the area. "This is a rare opportunity to see Disney's crown jewels up close and personal. It's an experience no one outside the Company has ever had," Steven explains."

Archives Angel, anyone? :lookaroun I wonder how long the high bidder gets to keep that status.

On those lines, how cool would it be to purchase a lifetime pass to all parks? :king: I'm not saying that's up for bid, but that is something people have discussed from time to time over the years. I wonder how much someone would bid for one of those?

In anticipation for D23 Disney released the new trailer for "The Princess and the Frog" and i gotta say the new trailer is pretty awful. It's being marketed towards the nickelodean crowd it seems and doesn't have the classyness of the 2nd golden age films (Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty Beast, Lion King). I hope this is just a case of bad marketing.

I will be at the Frog panel on Sunday so hopefully they can win me over with better footage.

To be fair, the marketing for Bolt made the movie look lame and just a vehicle for Travolta/Hannah Montanna but the movie was suprisingly good.

I hope they have a better marketing strategy for Rapunzel

I would like to see them just take each park and cover it for about 10 minutes detailing what the future holds. I don't want to just hear WDW, I want to hear about each theme park individually.

Like I told jt04 a few days ago, in my opinion it's the Jay Rasulo presentation on Saturday that is going to hold the most news and info for WDW specifically. :)

That Jay Rasulo speech is probably going to be where they announce Captain EO and Star Tours 2.0, two projects that have already leaked on the Internet. But it's also the time where we will get news on any surprises or things people hadn't considered coming to the parks in the next 2 or 3 years.

The one hour Jay Rasulo presentation on Saturday will be an important one for WDW parks information, more so than the big Parks & Resorts exhibit in Hall B. At least in my opinion.

Aim away!

Al Lutz is not a very good website poster. I fund him to be full of himself and he never interacts with anyone over at Miceage/Chat. I come here for by WDW fix and I created an account at Micechat for DL. I did not get the community feeling nor do I feel welcome. I do check for updates but I do not like the forums. This site is great and so welcoming.

I totally agree. Micechat is just a little more about the articles than that warm fuzzy feeling you get here... or is that just me?

Man - what is up with the marketing department and WDFA films? They've made the same screw up with MTR, Bolt and now PATF? It's almost like they don't want people to know in advance how good the movie is.

Funny how they never make that mistake for Pixar films.

Yeah, whoever's in charge of marketing needs to be fired.

Except that the one hour presentation is focused on DISNEYLAND and the worldwide resorts (Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai) not WDW (although im sure DVC and maybe Space Mountain will get mentioned)

OMG, can they quit with that dvc crap? WDW is turning into one giant DVC advertising stand....
