Worst. Post. Ever.

Have you ever seen a little piece of crap called "Die Another Day"??????
Now hold on there...I didn't say "Die Another Day" was any good. Boy, that one's a stinkburger!
The only reason it ranks above Casino Royale is because it didn't have such a sissy non-Bond-like bad guy. Where have all the giant death rays gone?

I DID have some pretty location scenery. :lookaroun

Yea...they went to Naboo.

I suppose you've never read the book...

Anyways, LeChiffre is just a small part of a very big organization (just like the ones from the Connery era). The next movie will delve further into this plot.

I think it's apropos to mention, in a thread on this subject, the lyric from Madonna's theme song to that film :

"Sigmund Freud...Analyze this...."

I think that sums it up, LOL. I really do think it says more about the person that looks at that line drawing, an accurate representation of the three peaks of Everest, not some freehand art project, and thinks they see something like that.

I can honestly say I would never, ever, ever in a million, billion years of made that leap. Then again, I'm not one to think much about the female form, LOL.

Well you're in luck because I've grown kind of bored with the Everest discussions lately. Doubtful you'll see any Everest posts from me for a while....that is until someone else starts a thread on how "amazing" it is and then I just can't resist.
**Runs off to start an "I love Everest and everything associated with it - Don't you?" thread**

Yea. It might be a good version of the book. Just call me old-school, but I want my Bond to be drinking a Martini while strapped to giant table above a pool filled with man-eating sharks while a giant walking death ray points at his head, while a man who uses a gold watch to blow up people escapes in a car that can eject a passenger at his whim. And all of this takes place on the MOON, mind you!
This film was way to bland and dull. And when they do have action, it's not that good!

My favorites have to be when nobody notices that the guy who walked into the one dressing room comes out in uniform. Oh, and then there's the fact that ALL of the AIRPORT security stops guarding, and run like little girls out of the building just because the sprinklers are on. And after that, nobody cares that Bond is just walking around the tarmac!

Anyhoo, that's just me. I do HIGHLY suggest you get the Rifftrax for it though, STR8FAN2005. I think we'll both agree it's very funny!

So, you want a combination of Goldfinger and Moonraker?

There is lots of action in Casino Royale...

I need to rewatch it for viewing number 10:D

Whatever the past record for most thread drift was, we definatly just took it over. We went from Offensive T-Shirts to James Bond movies, completely innontentionally. Not that we need to get back on track, I just realized it when I had to look at the top of the page to see what thread I am viewing.

Another thing lacking in Casino Royale is Post-Kill puns. I don't think this Bond went to a good movie spy school.

You know, when they try to drown you, you say after the fact "I went for a swim"?

Not even ONE classic, like "I was all tied up", meaning "I was all tied up".

When I watched Casino Royale, it felt just like I was watching the MST3K-ed versions of "Secret Agent Super Dragon" or "Danger! Death Ray!", and "Operation Double 007"!

Watch the movie again, there is plenty of humour...just not at level of Moore and Brosnan films where they beat you over the head with it.

That torture scene was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever had to watch. I'm shifting around in my chair right now just thinking about it.

Mountains? Oh wait, that could be taken the wrong way. Monkeys? Even worse! A bunch of guys "arguing" with each other? Whoa....I'm not even going there. :ROFLOL:

I believe it was about how many people can interpret the same image/word/event in totally different ways. Not a right way or wrong way, but a different way.
