1) You obviously are not paying close attention to NextGen news and what it is intended to do.
2) I will just say about Potter 2.0 what the cynics here say about AvatarLand. I will believe it when I see it.
3) OK, a dole whip then?
A) I will give you that they may be attempting to fix the cattle problem with NextGen fastpass. But you can't really judge or say that it does
until it comes out. From what I read, it could work really well...or it could flop badly and just make everything into an overcomplicated mess. It could also alienate a decent amount of people by given so much priority to guests who are on the property that it drives others to stay away from Disney
B) Potter 2.0 is not some hypothetical land that no one has see any work done on. There is a giant hole over where Jaws used to be. Google it. And we confirmed reports from people on here who are insiders for Universal as to what it is. We know about rides that are going in. The only thing we've heard about Avatarland is that it may involve a flying. But even that is just a hypothetical. Potter 2.0 will exist in 2.5-3 years. Avatarland is a big fat maybe.
C) Also, I've never had a Dole Whip so I don't know if I like them. (Shocking, I know. It just was never a priority for my family to get one. I do intend to remedy that on my next trip)
Universal better get busy because I am hearing they no longer have the 'premiere' theme park attraction in the world as many have claimed. LMAO!
Nope, that honor now belongs to Radiator Springs Racers brought to you by the team of Iger & Lasseter and sponsored by Pixar's classic franchise
Cars!
Move over Mr Potter or get run over by a mouse.
RSR looks like a great attraction but I haven't heard anybody call it the "premiere" attraction in the world. It very well may be. But again, "you are hearing" something...another unsubstantiated fact. Classic #4 JT. Classic #4. And also #6...."Universal better get busy"...see B) above. They are getting busy. They are developing new rides which sound like, especially with the train ride, could blow anything else out of the water...and you see I'm not pulling those facts out of my as*. Whylightbulb seems to be pretty darn trustworthy. Lastly, you definitely can't give Iger credit for this one. And Lassester is great but again, it's not like WDW is going to get this attraction...even if RSR is the new premiere attraction in the world (which is suspect), the premiere attraction in Orlando is still HP
1)RSR is what we all know WDI can do given the resources. And it will be proof positive that doing so is EXTREMELY profitable. Success has a way a creating more success. And I think that is what you will see including at WDW.
2)And it is never to late to fix something. FL was cursed for nearly half a century when 20K was green-lighted. They had to get that investment back. Now the remedy is here and judging by the buzz many are delighted.
3)I'm guessing we have only seen the first chapter of the "book" Lasseter is writing.
1)It may be proof positive that doing such things is extremely profitable...though heck you could argue the same thing about HP. They made their investment back in 8 weeks as someone said. "Success has a way of creating more success"...like having Potter 1.0 lead the way to Potter 2.0 and more if what we are hearing is correct. But anyways, it could very well spur TDO to do some great things at WDW. I actually hope so but they are going to have a hard time breaking their habit of constantly cutting back over the past 10 or so years. The biggest driving force will be when they start losing too much money to the competitors. Its how business works.
2) True it's never too late to fix something. It doesn't change the fact that it was still too late. And yes the buzz is that it's delightful and I'm sure it is great. That being said, most people don't want just delightful. The want Disney pushing the boundaries and doing what we all know Disney is capable of. Doing what it used to do all the time. New FLE, while good, doesn't seem to be doing that...one of their biggest new things is a Meet and Greet. That says something
3) When Lasseter actually gets involved with WDW then we'll talk
I hope it is something relatively basic as there just is not enough room in that area to do a major franchise any justice. Certainly not LotR. My guess is Transformers if they have decided to keep MSHI.
Who hopes for something "relatively basic"? No, there isn't a lot of room there but if there is one management staff who knows how to manage and use small spaces effectively, it's Universal.
