Wrong project, this is for Soarin.

They were scrambling to open before June 21st, so it wouldn't be "Summer". But is seems it has slid past that mark.My mom was a Epcot today today and was told it will open in "Summer" by a CM.
It's only January, so if they were truly scrambling, they should be able to get this thing done in 4-5 months. Ideally it would have been ready before Soarin closed. Just doesn't seem like there's a big rush at all. They were scrambling to open before June 21st, so it wouldn't be "Summer". But is seems it has slid past that mark.
IIRC they originally wanted it for Christmas 2015.It's only January, so if they were truly scrambling, they should be able to get this thing done in 4-5 months. Ideally it would have been ready before Soarin closed. Just doesn't seem like there's a big rush at all.
That would have made sense, and it seems it was feasible as well. For an attraction that was supposedly pushed by Iger, this project has been embarrassingly slow, even for Disney.IIRC they originally wanted it for Christmas 2015.
CorrectThis Project started in Oct 2014 correct?
Correct
It won't. Lower expectations accordingly.I would have to say just short of 2 years for an overlay is a bit embarrassing... I really hope that this blows us away with something
ultimately this is a quick money grab for disney. they know that frozen fans will ride any thrown together piece of garbage that they come up with because it's frozen themed. to me this isn't the norway pavilion anymore because 95% of it is frozen. It won't. Lower expectations accordingly.

I would really not classify this as an overlay. They completely gutted the interior of the ride sans track. That's not a mere overlay. But I agree it should have been completed in less than 2 years.
It's the equivalent of If You Had Wings to Space Ranger Spin or Alien Encounter/Stitch, so I agree that it's more than an overlay.Agree its more than an overlay, but the time its taking to complete in a building that size is pretty embarrassing. Was there yesterday and all you could hear was tons of noise, power drilling and hammers from within, so they are def going at it. Aside from the track I dont think any of it will be recognizable.

And mutilating something wonderfulNot much was done with that one. Most of the interior stayed the same. It was more adding or reprogramming existing show elements.
