Nibblesandbits Amazingly Wonderful Trip Report Number 5 (Sept. 21-25)

Well, I'm officially back from a wonderful time at the World. And I know what you all are thinking...Trip Report! Trip Report! Which of course, I shall do. :)

Pre-show:

This trip was actually a "last minute trip" for us. Not a lot of time for lenghthy planning for me. My husband (commonly known around here at What's His Face or WHF, for short) and I were originally planning a trip to California this year. We were supposed to see Disneyland and visit some of what California had to offer. Unfortunately, WHF got a new job this year and didn't want to take all that time off.

Also, coinciding with that, WHF got me an AP for my birthday this year...my very first AP! I was so excited. Now, needless to say, when you've got an AP, it burns a hole in your pocket. So, since we weren't going to California, we should go back down to Florida. And, WHF wouldn't have to take as many days off work if we went to Florida, so less than 2 months beforehand, we set the date.

And, set the date we did. My trip was scheduled for the dates of Sept. 21-25 for a few reasons. Number 1. my friend Bunny would be down there for part of the same time I would be and I really wanted to see her and her family. Number 2. I really wanted to visit the Adventurer's Club for one last time. Number 3. I wanted to go this year in Sept. so I could get another use next Sept. out of my APs.

Finally, after a very short wait, it was time to go!!!

Monday Sept. 22
Epcot, Beaches & Cream, DHS, and the Adv. Club

I tell you...nothing is better than waking up on Disney property! I got up, got ready, and went to get some oatmeal from Pop's food court.

Then it was off to Epoct! Yay!!!

First things first, after getting off the bus...was to head to Soarin for FP. From there we went:

To The Seas With Nemo!!!

This was our second time riding this and we both said we enjoyed it much better the second time. It's a cute little ride. Then we went to visit Crush and sat in the "Human Tank".

After that, we still had time before our Soarin FastPasses were up, so we hit up SSE. This was my first visit to this attraction since the re-furb.

I have to say...I loved it. I thought it was great. The first part, was phenominal, as everyone has said. And the second part, I thought was fun. Now...do the 2 parts go together well, that could be debated...but needless to say, I was entertained and I'm sure that's what Disney was going for. Something to keep you busy during the decent down.

From there, we headed back to The Land where we had lunch at one of my favorites, Sunshine Seasons. We both had chicken...(keep watching for how many times we have chicken...) and I got myself the Butterfinger Brownie. OMG!!! That thing is so freaking rich!!! It's so delicious though!!!

After that...it was time to Soar! Love this ride!!!

We then got FPs for Test Track and headed straight to M:S green. (I've ridden the orange side, but I don't want to chance it.)

So, I thought this was a cool pic:

From there, it started the typical Florida sprinkle...and by the time we got to Figment...the typical Florida downpour!!! I don't know how we managed to not get too drenched. After exiting Figment, it was still pouring. No chance of getting on Test Track now.

So, instead we went to World Showcase.

Now...this was my first real experience with World Showcase. I've been before, but never really done WS. I've walked around the outside, enjoying the architecture, but this time, I went in the pavillions and really explored them. (While getting drenched under an umbrella! Yay!!!)

First on our tour...Mexico. We did the Gran Fiesta tour and really enjoyed this this time as well. I think the second time for riding this was much better too. I was really able to catch what was going on, instead of just thinking it was a jumble of everything.

Then we did that crazy Norwegian boat ride...:)

Nows where we get into the newer stuff. This time we went into China and I really enjoyed the lady playing in there before the movie. I wished I would have caught her name. She was very good.

My horrible attempt at being artsy with this branch:

We also got our pics taken with Mulan and Mushu (why does my husband look like an idiot in every picture we get taken?):

We saw the movie here as well...which I thought was good. Not sure if I'd see it every time. But it was good.

During the movie...our good friend Vince (Merhearted) called us. He was on his way to Epcot and was going to meet us in WS. Yay!!!

After China, we went to explore Germany where I finally saw the Christmas pickle and learned the meaning behind it.

We also stopped to look at the trains.

I just liked this pic:

From there, we went to Italy and explored. This pavillion is one of my favorites as it's so pretty. The architecture is goregous here.

Then we were off to Japan, where we caught the end of Myuki and her candy making. I wished we'd gotten to see more, but it was hard for me to see anyway b/c I'm short and all the people in front of me were tall. (Stupid tall people!)

We also caught a bit of the drummers here.

We went to Morocco and explored and while we were there, got a a call from Vince. He was in the park...and he'd meet us there.

So far so great Nibs....thanks for sharing!

One thing however, the christmas pickle thing.....it isn't true. It's a long standing joke with my German associates...in fact, I had to pick up one when I was at Epcot as a gift. I'll send you a reference article. With that said, we have a pickle on our tree too...so it's a tradition now!

Patiently waiting for more!
