Newfiefan's long overdue Sept. TR!

Hello again, I'm back at the TR writing! My computer crashed in the fall and my vacation pictures have been held hostage ever since. I have a new laptop and I've been able to retrieve my pictures! Thank goodness!

For any of you out there who has been following the drama that is my life, things have returned to semi-normal around here. My father had a horrible accident last year and I'm happy to report that he is on the mend. He may need one more surgery this summer but he's pretty much back to normal. For those of you that don't know, the accident happened on my new home construction site. It all went down as I was writing my March TR from last year. You can check it out if you're interested but the TR never did get finished. *embarrassed* http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=564342&highlight=newfiefan's With all that was going on in my life at the time, the TR writing went on the back burner.

We haved now moved into our beautiful new home and Uncle Matt (as you all know him) is now a married man! It's been quite the year for us!

This Sept. trip couldn't have come at a worse or a better time... depending on how you looked at it. We were right in the middle of new home construction and my brother (aka Uncle Matt) threw a surprise wedding at us. The wedding was scheduled to take place the week after we returned home from WDW!!! Uncle Matt had originally planned to come on this trip with us but that all changed with the wedding plans. So, for the first time since 2007 (our first trip as a family) we were once again taking a trip by ourselves (just the 4 of us). I was disappointed Matt wasn't coming with us, as we have so much fun with him on vacation, but I was looking forward to just our family getting away together. And what a trip it was! It was just what the doctor ordered... we left the maddness behind and headed for 12 nights at the most magical place on earth...

Day 1

We took the usual flight from St. John's, NL, switched planes in Toronto and landed in sunny Orlando just after 1pm local time. An uneventful flight and journery for the most part. We did however have a hard time locating our luggage but we tracked it down and we were on our way to DME.

Silly kids waiting on a bus...
scaxxw.jpg

This was our first time staying at CBR and we fell in love with the place. We were located in Jamaica and it was quite the convenient "island". The bus stop was next door and we were usually the first ones picked up depending on the route. And Old Port Royale was a short walk across Caribbean Cay!

The kids loved the Nemo theming!
302nm9u.jpg

The mandatory room number shot...
b3jrr9.jpg

We headed straight for Epcot (somewhat of a tradition for us) and looked for some food for our very hungry stomachs.

Always have to stop for the first PhotoPass pic of the trip!
fkbdl5.jpg

We found some yummy food in here...
332a3vm.jpg

And got a bonus ride on Soarin' - it was walk on! (Don't you love Sept.!?!)
1y7thg.jpg

It's funny how attracted kids are to spraying water...
2gy0wme.jpg

We made our way into World Showcase and the kids wanted to ride "Donald's Mexico Boat Ride" (as they like to call it)...
2lxwayg.jpg

We poked around a little inside and then headed back out into WS. It's interesting how our touring has evolved our the course of our WDW trips. We had no real plan, just wandering, stopping when we wanted to see something or take a pic, etc. That and the fact it was just our family and we didn't feel the need to cater to anyone else... it was nice!

China...

I'm LOVING your trip report. Late or not, it's still fabulous! I'm so happy that things have gotten back on track for you all... and let me add my congrats to Uncle Matt! I'm with Jess (plaz10), I can't post on one of your trip reports and not comment on how freakin' adorable the little ones are. Seriously! Cutest family ever.

The kids meal at Yakitori looks delicious. In fact, the portion size looks pretty darn good to this adult.

I could totally hang out with your family... character meet and greets abound! I loved the Mary Poppins conversation. And the fact that your son has started a little plush collection!

I'll say it again, I really like the pool here! I think it has great theming for a mod. resort!

(Yes, I stole the kids fish floaty! *shifty eyes*)

After we soaked and baked all morning we headed back to the room to clean up. We were spending the rest of the afternoon/evening in DTD.

We grabbed a bus and got out at PI/Westside b/c the Marketplace bus stops were under refurbishment.

D-Street had some interesting decor...

Cool Vinylmation displays...

Love your report! I'm so glad to hear that your father is doing better...and congrats to Uncle Matt! :D

Your kids are so cute, and those CBR pictures are gorgeous...the lake is so still it looks like glass! Very pretty.

That CBR pool does look inviting! Feel free to punish me with Mickey waffles and bacon anytime. LOL!

Are those the UV swim shirts that your kiddies are wearing? Are they pretty effective? Brian is sooooo pale-skinned and burns so easily. I'm worried he's gonna cook himself on the cruise in September (since the boys will be able to roam the ship and go swim on their own without us to chase 'em down with sunblock) then be stuck inside for days.

I am eating up your report! In a way I wish we hadn't missed that trip in September. I was sooooo looking forward to meeting you and the family. I think your little girly-girl and I would've hit it off famously. I notice she carries her baby around with her. I can sooooo relate!!!

Your little man has got the most gorgeous blue eyes! What a killer! How do you ever fuss at him even if he's in trouble??? I'd melt! LOL! I love that he wanted to take the pic in the driver's seat of the car outside Sci-Fi. Don't blink too many times. I remember a certain little redheaded boy who also liked to play drive not so long ago...and now he's driving my car around the neighborhood and studying for the written test to get his permit. It's kinda big deal now and I look back and wonder at how fast it all past me by. I wrote the check today for the car this boy will be getting next year. It's quite a -moment for a mom!

I'm so glad your little sweetie didn't stay sick. She seems to have gotten over whatever she had a touch of rather quickly. Yay! Everyone seems to be having such a wonderful time. Love all the smiling pics!

Oooh! Good score on the new Tinkerbell movie preview! Go on with your bad self!

Lovin' your report! You do such a great job capturing all the fun!

Thanks girl! One of these days a trip is going to happen where we meet... I just know it! :D I was wondering if anyone would notice how much she carries around that baby doll. It's her "baby" and it pretty much goes everywhere!

Don't remind me about the kids growing up, I have a hard time dealing with the fact I have a 5 and a 7 year old now!!! No more babies, toddlers, preschoolers,... just big kids! And yes, it's hard to be firm with them but we have to hold our ground somedays.

Thanks so much! We think our kids are cute... but we're a little biased! :animwink: I find most of the kids meals on property to be an appropriate portion size for me... but I am a small eater. Yakatori House is pretty good and it's something that's a little different for the kids too (they even get tired of pizza and chicken nuggets).

Maybe one of these days a trip will coincide with yours too... and we'll spend the day hunting down characters together! :D

Love your report! I'm so glad to hear that your father is doing better...and congrats to Uncle Matt! :D

Your kids are so cute, and those CBR pictures are gorgeous...the lake is so still it looks like glass! Very pretty.

Thanks Ariel! I really liked snapping pics at CBR, it's a very photogenic resort... but then again, what resort isn't at Disney World!?!

That CBR pool does look inviting! Feel free to punish me with Mickey waffles and bacon anytime. LOL!

I love the UV swim wear! I don't have the nerve to let them spend time in the pool in the middle of the day without it! My daughter's skin is not that fair, her complexion is similar to mine (although, looking at those pictures I have about as much color as a ghost) and my son is very fair skinned. But I worry about the both of them. We don't see very much sun at home so I have to be extra careful when we hit Florida!

I was gone for the weekend but will try to finish up this TR over the next day or so!

At D-Street they gave the kids a little coloring sheet to create their own Vinylmation...
xf3pxt.jpg

It entertained them for awhile!
zvwqb4.jpg

(I think the table is pretty cool too!)

We poked around the store while they colored.

I think we popped in and out of a few stores on Westside and PI. My hubby bought a new backpack because his sling bag was not very comfortable. After some shopping we decided to make our way over to Marketplace b/c we had an ADR at...

904wlj.jpg

We showed up a little early and we were seated almost right away. The kids played in the little dig area just before we sat down, though. This turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the trip. I've only heard mediocre things about T-Rex at best but this place was great. It's a little loud (especially when the meteor shower takes place) but it wasn't so bad that it ruined my meal or experience. It may have helped that we were obviously dining at a slow time b/c the restaurant was practically empty! The kids were very entertained with the decor. And the food was delish...

Our server was great as well which I'm sure only added to the experience. After our meal I picked up a few small things in the gift shop (which I stash away for stocking stuffers) and the kids had a few more minutes in the little dig area.

We had to stop at the Lego Store, that's a must on every trip!

And of course the mandatory shot with the sea serpent...
11t3m2c.jpg

Then we hit up...
2vj7tza.jpg

We let the kids pick out one toy each. My son picked out a Disney World play food set (which I thought was kind of neat) and my daughter wanted a pretend Princess makeup/hair kit (which she had to carry around herself).

(You can see her hanging onto her Princess kit.)

And then we let the kids get wet...
1z496a1.jpg

It was now time to call it a night. We took out wet rugrats back to the hotel and tucked them in for the night. We really wanted them to get a goodnight sleep b/c the next day was going to be a big day for us... our first Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party!

Day 6

We let the kids (and ourselves) sleep in this morning. There was no park planned for this morning as I wanted to take it really easy. We intended to stay as late as possible to the party so we wanted everyone well rested!

I also had to do laundry! My husband took the kids to the main pool while I dragged myself over to do laundry. Actually, I don't mind doing laundry at Disney... I get a few minutes to myself and I sit outside and relax while I'm waiting for it to be done.

I took this time to snap a few pics of Jamaica...

2dudq9u.jpg

2rgnazb.jpg

I got all the laundry done and even cleaned up the room before I went to find the rest of my family.

Apparently the kids had fun in the pool.
jzgljn.jpg

We all went back to the room to shower and get our costumes on for the night.

I present to you... Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and one ladybug!

Disney Sept. '10 372 by NewfieFan, on Flickr

We arrived at the MK well before party time b/c I wanted to get dinner and some rides out of the way before the party started. This party was going to be all about the characters and candy!
xe0cbr.jpg

On our way in we spotted Pinocchio with hardly a soul around him. We had to give him some attention...
2yzmmae.jpg

We had dinner at Columbia Harbour House and then we did a few rides (with little to no wait).

Apparently Fairies like chicken nuggets, who knew!?!

We did the Pooh ride and...

(This picture was in Celebrations magazine by the way!)

Time for another round on...
9j3uyf.jpg

We stopped for a frozen coke at the Lunching Pad and then it happened...

We felt Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party could be, well, more scary. So we decided to add some real blood... our daughter had the worst nose bleed of her life!!! This is something new for her and it only happens when she's already sick with a head cold. Well, what a scene we made. I was grabbing random napkins off tables and telling my husband to hold them up to her face. At the same time I was trying to salvage her costume and clean it with wipes. All the while our son is freaking out! Random people stopped to ask us if we needed help or give us medical advice on how to handle nose bleeds. I politely said thanks and told them my hubby was a doctor. I'm sure we looked like we had no control over the situation when we actually did! Oh, and our daughter hates the sight of blood so she's crying like she's been beat. It was not a pretty scene!

After the bleeding stopped we moved inside to get in the cool. We took everyone to...
neubly.jpg

Which my son was thrilled with b/c he loves arcade games!

Peter Pan discovers the joy of air hockey...
30hssx0.jpg

There was no more sign of blood so we decided to venture out but we made our daughter sit in the stroller while we walked.

The kids wanted to go on the Speedway... probably not the best ride to take a 4 year old on who's just had a massive nose bleed... but she was fine!

I think Peter Pan is too short to get his license...
29pvmmq.jpg

Then the kids wanted to go on Goofy's Barnstormer... again, probably not the best ride for our girl... but she was fine!

And of course they had to ride the attraction which they themselves make appearances in...

My husband grabbed a funnel cake at Sleepy Hollow and I contemplated getting in the line for the Seven Dwarfs (a line was already forming) but decided against it.

Finally it was time for the party to start and we hit up our first trick or treat spot!
2vtp5ad.jpg

We did however line up to get our picture taken in front of Cinderella's carriage...
21kmt08.jpg

The kids wanted to go back into TT to see what games they had down there. They played Mr. Potato Head bowling and a Pumpkin toss game which they got certificates for...
t5fy2r.jpg

211jc5k.jpg

We met these folks and broke another PhotoPass camera!
ra2ptv.jpg

We walked the trail to Tomorrowland collecting candy along the way of course!

On our way through TL we paused for a couple of songs at the dance party and my son got to dance with Pluto...
8yfdbq.jpg

The first parade was about to start but we skipped it in hopes that the kids would stay up late enough for the second parade.

avr9jo.jpg

We took this time to line up for the Seven Dwarfs, it was probably a little longer than it had been just prior to the party starting. Maybe if I had my time back I would have got in the line first thing but oh well! We also gave the kids a snack of watermelon while we were waiting. It was a long line but the kids were good and we ended up seeing the fireworks while we were waiting for the Dwarfs to come back from their break. I was a little bummed that we weren't seeing them from the front of the Castle but the kids thought they were great anyway!

We popped into The Diamond Horseshoe to see what was on the go in there... it was another dance party! My daughter got a chance to dance with Jessie which pretty much made her night and my son tried out for the hula hoop contest.

eugiuf.jpg

2dalzsw.jpg

116hxy1.jpg

After giving the kids a chance to dance and see the characters we headed out for some more trick or treating. Along the way we saw...
r0758k.jpg

Captain Hook and Mr. Smee made such a fuss over our son it was hilarious! I wish I had more pictures of it but I was so caught up in the moment that I forgot to take out my camera. First Mr. Smee followed my son around making the shame on you sign with his fingers. Then Captain Hook challenged him to a sword fight. I didn't get a pic of Mr. Smee b/c he got occupied with something else. Someone was dressed up like Waldo (from Where's Waldo?) and Mr. Smee was taking the time to hide him behind some plants and then asking other guests as they walked by if they could see him. Most guests didn't have a clue what he was going on with but I was cracking up! Too funny!

The kids thought this was fascinating (although my daughter was a little nervous at first sight)...
167mctt.jpg

Then we got our spot for the parade. I was glad we waited for the second one, we had front row seats and only waited a short time for the parade to start. The kids really liked the parade, as did I! The song was a little catchy too!

Our daughter was officially exhausted at this point. I could notice her eyes getting heavy during the parade. We put her in the stroller to make our way out of the crowd and she passed out. But my son was still going so we went inside the Adventureland Veranda. The place was empty... seriously empty! We got to meet so many characters with no one else around. I guess b/c it was late and the second parade was just letting out!?!

20kw107.jpg

nq91f.jpg

These pictures are not very good and I was disappointed when I saw them. I had been playing around with my camera settings during the parade and forgot to change them back (I never did get a decent shot of the parade). If I had been the one taking the pictures I probably would have noticed it!

However, there was one PhotoPass photographer inside...
2zrq2vs.jpg

Time to call it a night! We had already lost one Fairy and daddy was getting tired too! We started to slowly make our way towards the exit. We paused for one last pic in front of the castle... and broke another PhotoPass camera. My husband and I started laughing hysterically! I think the photographer thought we were nuts! Anyways we did manage to get a couple of shots. Although, this is not my favorite pic of the two of us, I do like how the fireworks are exploding on the Castle at the same time the pic was taken.
qstv6x.jpg

34ybm9y.jpg

There was one more trick or treat spot just outside the gates and then we said goodnight to Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party!

My review...

I thought the party was awesome and so did the rest of my family. I think it was one of the best times we've had together in the MK. I know there's been talk of things being cutback but I didn't have another party to compare it to as this was our first one! It was such a fun atmosphere and the characters just seemed to be extra entertaining. I can't wait to do another one and now that I've done my first I'll know how to tour the party a little better next time.

2mooxli.jpg

Day 7

I have no idea what time we arrived at Epcot this morning but I do know we slept in.

How can you not take a picture as you walk past this thing!?!
30hlf7a.jpg

We headed for Test Track and my husband said he was going to ride it (he's never been on it before). He found it alright, I think!?!

Then we walked towards World Showcase. Our agenda today was to really tour WS and see some characters along the way too.

2ujgk6r.jpg

We did...
1112g60.jpg

2vd31c8.jpg

The kids were working on their masks as we made our way around WS.

We sat on the ground and watched the Chinese acrobats (which I was so glad we did b/c now they are gone)...

Snow White was wonderful as always...
2uh2s12.jpg

The kids played KP in Japan which we had signed up for earlier...

I can't remember how many missions we did but I think we did three in total during the course of the day.

I love this family pic! And it totally wouldn't be complete without "baby" in there with you. :D Seriously, I adore the fact that "baby" went everywhere with your daughter. What a fantastic little mommy. It reminds me of how I used to cart around my first Cabbage Patch baby, Genie, and my older brother would be reduced to tears by it. He was so mortified that I carried around my baby. Duh! I was practicing!!! What kind of mommy leaves her baby in the trunk when she goes to the mall??? :hammer: Aaaaand, for the record, YES-My little Regina Cristina is still a happy little piece of my family here with me. :)

I was totally cracking up at the nosebleed scene! No, I'm not laughing at your poor little one for having the nosebleed. You described the chaos so well! It reminded me of when Brian lost a tooth at WDW while eating an ice cream bar from one of their carts (they're rock hard!). He was screaming and flailing about like death was upon him because he saw the blood, we were trying to hold him still to keep blood from going everywhere, Chandler and his tender-hearted-self was freakin' out, and people were looking at us like we were killing the kid. Total trauma!!! It's one of those priceless Disney-moments!

Loving all the updates! You're rockin' this report! I was just thinking this morning I needed to post a little poke at you to get you back to post some more. I've been itchin' for more!!! :sohappy:

It looks like you took the perfect approach for MNSSHP and were able to soak up so much of what makes the party great.

Seriously, it has to be said... the cutest Peter Pan and Tink EVER. I can totally see why that picture from the teacups ended up in Celebrations magazine. After I saw the costumes, I was just waiting to see pictures of your kids with Captain Hook. I'm so happy Hook and Smee played it up with your son like that.

We spotted Aurora in France and even though we had already seen her once this trip both kids wanted to see her again. She was so wonderful with the kids and spent so much time talking and listening to them.

We let the kids play in the little hedgerow maze in the UK while we vegged out on some benches.

Back to Club Cool for some beverages...

And had Sunshine Seasons for supper again this evening!

We rode Nemo and Friends and explored the pavillion...
6o36t3.jpg

As much as I wanted to stay and watch Illuminations we wanted to get back to the resort and get the kids in bed a decent hour. I popped into Mouse Gears and had the slowest cashier in the history of the world! By the time I got out Illuminations was already started so we headed towards the bus.

It was a great day at Epcot...

Day 8

We headed straight for...

and watched Festival of the Lion King. That show never gets old for me!

Of course, the kids had to stop to see Lilo and Stitch, although my daughter wouldn't go near Stitch!

Ack! I ate at TRex last night and my food was awful! We had only eaten there once before and I didn't think it was bad last time, but this time I got the quesadilla and it was bland and flavorless. :(

I guess it really all depends on what you order?

Ok, I just typed a full post and lost everything!!! *banging head off wall*

Day 8 continued...

After lunch we headed over to Africa to use our FPs for KS but I don't even think we needed them (the line was pretty short). I didn't anticipate the animals would be very active b/c of the heat and the fact that is was in the afternoon... but I was pleasantly surprised! They were very active and near the ride vehicle!
b3kb2s.jpg

We just couldn't bear the heat any longer in AK! We headed for "home" to freshen up b/c we were doing something special this evening...
sxp1dj.jpg

Not the best picture but it's the kids in front of the Cirque tent. We suprised the kids with tickets to La Nouba! I usually don't like to surprise the kids (well, I surprise with gifts for their birthday and such) but I like for them to anticipate a vacation and the things that are planned. It was kind of a last minute thing as I found a great deal online for the tickets and all I had to do was sign up in the Cirque Club (which was free). The adult tickets were a good savings, actually.

I have no pictures of the show obviously! The show was amazing and the kids were good for the whole thing. I think the show is very appropriate for DTD and I liked the humor in the story. I would love to see it again on a future trip.

Afterwards, I wanted to shop around in Trend-D for myself. I did find a couple of tees that I hadn't seen elsewhere on property.

I would totally hang this up on my wall at home...
157m43k.jpg

And that was it for our night. We went to bed pretty early b/c I was hoping to get an early start the next day.

Day 9

Back to DHS to finish up some things on our to do list. We arrived right at opening and followed the mass to Pixar Place. I got in a line to get FPs but it wasn't that bad, a few families in front of me. Then I suggested we get in the stand-by queue. We all love this ride and I wanted to give the kids a chance to ride it twice. The clock said 30 mins and as soon as we jumped in line they changed it to 40 mins but we tried anyway. And I was glad I did... we may have waited 30 mins from start to finish. This was our first time in the queue b/c we've always had a FP for Toy Story...

Mr. Potato Head is cool...

My husband asked about the Backlot Tour and I said, "Why not!?!" It had been years since I was on it.

Yeah, this ride really needs to go! Although, Catastrope Canyon did mildy entertain the family!

After the ride we found the Monsters Inc. M&G, it is really tucked away! My son wanted a chance to meet them but my daughter wouldn't hear talk of it!
Love this sign...

I thought it was cute how Sulley held out his big paw to hold my son's plush...

Again she got her nerve up at the end and came in for one picture (clinging to me for dear life)...

It was time for lunch so we decided to try out Studio Catering Co. DHS really needs some more CS!

I did like the Mickey hopscotch they had drawn on the ground with chalk (sometimes it's the little things that impress)...

Perfect! She looks all set to go complete with her baby!

:sohappy:

Oh my goodness, now I'm laughing at your trauma! It's funny b/c it's true!!! I'd love to see us in a real panic situation... God help us!

She is such a little mommy and I don't know where she gets it!?! It's not like there's another baby in the house, she is the baby. It's obviously something built into her! If (and that's a big "if") I have another child I could leave the thing for her to take care of!

Yeah, I went away for a girls shopping trip on the weekend, that's why there was no updates!

Thanks for the comments!

I had no idea how to tour MNSSHP, although I had done a little research on this forum. I was happy with the way the night turned out!

What!?! The ladybug is not cute too!?! :lookaroun *joke* I didn't even know if Captain Hook would be around or not but I was so glad we bumped into them!

Ack! I ate at TRex last night and my food was awful! We had only eaten there once before and I didn't think it was bad last time, but this time I got the quesadilla and it was bland and flavorless. :(

I guess it really all depends on what you order?

Loving the trip report!

You know I think this pretty much applies to every restaurant. So many things can affect one's experience (with food and service being the two biggest influences I'm sure). I heard bad reviews about restaurants only to discover they are some of our favorites and on the flip side I've heard good things about restaurants and we were disappointed with them!

The salmon dish at T-Rex was really good, if you're into salmon/fish!

What a great report! I'm enjoying every minute of it. As always, your children are gorgeous--and they've gotten so big! Congrats to the newlywedded, and on your dad's recovery.

Your son is the most perfect Peter Pan, he really looks the part. And his sister is a beautiful Tink (and the ladybug is cute, too--what, no costume for dad?) Speaking of dad, my husband has the very same Iron Man tshirt that your hubby is wearing at DTD/Lego. Is his tissue-thin, too? I'm afraid to put it in the dryer. And while I'm on the topic, I have the matching dress to your children's "hawaiian Disney" print clothing!

Love all your character photos! I'm think I'm going to concentrate on characters on our upcoming trip, in addition to our other concentration--eating! Look at all the cool new stuff you got to do by taking it easy, especially the Tink movie, what a great experience for your whole family!

Looking forward to the rest!

Day 9 continued...

We used our FPs for TSM after lunch...
6iwp5x.jpg

and then my daughter decided that she wanted to meet Buzz this time. The line wasn't too bad for Buzz and Woody, and my daughter got a kick out the photo props in the queue. She made me take a picture at each one...

Woody left just before it was our turn but my daughter only had heart set on meeting Buzz anyway. Well, Buzz picked up her baby, kissed it, and then started to rock it and hug it. My daughter was jumping up and down, she just couldn't contain her excitement!

(The picture of her is blurry b/c she was literally jumping up and down!)

I said thank you to Buzz for giving so much attention to "Baby"!

Saying goodbye to Pixar Place and DHS...

We decided to take an afternoon break and we went back to our resort. I think I did a couple more loads of laundry while the kids swam in the Jamaica pool. There's never a break from laundry on vacation! We cleaned up and got ready to go to the MK. This would be our only chance to see the Electrical Parade and I wanted to see Wishes.

We had time for one ride first and my son and I had yet to ride BTMR!

My son proving that he is indeed big enough to ride...
2qjaob7.jpg

Then we got our spots for the parade, the street was filling up fast. We were seated next to a real nice family who was on the last night of their trip. Their kids were itching to get in a couple more rides but the mom warned them that if they left they wouldn't have a spot for the parade. So, I offered to hold their spots for them. The took off running and came back very happy. Apparently they had time to ride BTMR three times in a row! I was glad I could make their night!

The MSEP was nice, I was glad I got the chance to see it. The kids really enjoyed it as well. But I'm a Spectro fan, I much prefer the music of Spectro! But still it was a good parade and something different. Afterwards we managed to get in a ride on Dumbo before Wishes started...
2hoxlqo.jpg

Instead of fighting the masses out in front of the castle we decided to stay behind in FL! We almost had the place to ourselves. The kids kind of just played around and my hubby and I sat down on the ground together. The fireworks exploded all around us! It was one of those moments... you know, the kind that reminds you why you love Disney in the first place!
23w90km.jpg

We took our own sweet time exiting the MK, she was packed tonight!!!

It was still quite busy inside the park but we figured some of crowds at the bus stop would be gone by now! WRONG!!! Oh dear heavens, it was the longest line I have ever seen for a bus! When I finally found the end of the line for CBR my jaw fell open. I think everyone at the MK that night was staying at CBR, seriously! I can't really complain about the bussing or the crowds b/c up until now both had been great. We hadn't really had an issue with the bussing the whole time at CBR!

We decided to walk to the Contemporary and catch a bus to DTD and try and transfer there. We didn't wait to long for a bus at the Contemporary and when we got to DTD we just caught the bus for CBR. Maybe it took the same amount of time as just waiting in that line... but at least this way we were sitting down the whole time on a nice air condition bus instead of standing in an angry mob of people!

Day 10

We left the resort a little later this morning but just enough time to get us to our next special event. I signed up (and got tickets for this one) for another AP event. It was a passholder preview of Duffy! So warning, all you Duffy haters out there... a few pics of Duffy coming up...

The event was being held in the Odyssey building in Epcot.

On our way we met this very out of place character but the kids thought it was great (probably training, right!?!)...
aau0lh.jpg

Stopped for a couple quick pics and then headed for the Odyssey building. After doing a complete lap around the building I finally found the entrance...
