Sorry, I just can't get over the deal! I saved $575.10 (2 adults at $35 and 2 Children at $10 for 6 nights plus tax) For us it was what we needed to just get back done to WDW! Plus, I will definitely be taking advantage of character dining etc., so when you really look at this I will be saving even more!! And this 6 night stay will be are longest stay!

3-10

I believe the package is from 3 nights up to 10 nights. Now the only other discount I am looking for is a FREE gas card for the trip!!!:D

Now that I think of it...

Oh, Pam (or Belle, or anyone else who knows the answer to every Disney question)...

Are there any provisions for free dining plans for people who are AP holders AND booking through DVC?

I'm assuming not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I agree with you!!! Although to really get a true number you have to calculate out how much more you are paying for the room and then factor in how much you would spend on food( THAT Is the tricky part!!!) It was still somewhere around $800 or so for my group!!! Belle

Yup, if you read my post again, you'll see that I did take that into account. The room is costing $140 more, and since we'll be getting about $1100 worth of food, it works out to just less than a grand. :)

I just got an email post card from Disney Visa for a deal this time, but I did't do the math. Is it the same deal?

Here is the numbers they have:

Stay, play, and dine with a great rate on a 5-night, 6-day Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining at a select Disney Value Resort for just $425* per adult, based on adult double occupancy in a standard room. And even better, add up to two kids in the same room for just $168 per child ages 3-9.

*This promotion is only for travel most nights August 21-October 4, 2005 and the number of packages available for this promotion is limited. No group rates or other discounts apply. Offer is non-transferable

We won't be going at this time, we are going again in Jan. We are AP holders and DVC members so it doesn't really help us. However if I could get another great deal at PORS like I did in May I might consider saving points and staying there again.

Allllll I'm saying is, I wouldn't be surprised if, once you're there, you find yourself tempted to spend more than you normally would because you saved so much on the meal deal. I'm NOT saying you'd spend an amount equal to the price of the meal deal. But you might find yourself buying more (or more expensive) souveniers. Or thinking about seeing La Nouba again (if you're not already going). Plus, since the meal plan only covers 2 meals and a snack, maybe you'd consider spending more on that one meal a day NOT covered. And walking all day in the hot sun, you might need more than one snack a day anyway.

See, I'm following exactly what you say is "bad", and I see it as GREAT!

I am sure we will end up spending just as much money as we would have in the first place, but we will get SO MUCH MORE.

1) We will get to order of menus at expensive restaurants without looking at prices

2) Instead of 1 MNSSHP we will probably go to 2 now

3) Circ De Solei tickets were out of our budget before, but with the dining savings we are going for it

4) I hope we do buy my niece tons more sovineers. This is a once in a lifetime trip for her.

Our trip budget was around $3000 before, and we will likely spend that much now. However, we will get a WHOLE lot more for that three grand then we would have before.

That's why I am so excited about this - because for the same amount of money we were going to spend before we are getting a TON more magic.

So, I guess I'm playing right into Disney's hands by your estimation. If this is being played, I hope I get played like a fine fiddle. :)

Does anybody know, does your trip have to be over by October 4th? For example, we already have plane tickets for the 1-6, would be be able to book this, based on the fact that our trip would start withint the time frame? Somehow I am doubting this....
