ahem.......Nagging??? that isnt at all true and you know it!!! The rest of the post is dead on though. I agree with AEfx though, it is a very personal decision and shouldnt be made lightly or quickly. It took me a while but ever since I have been using Pam's services I have been more than happy with the trips that I have had planned. I do still do my own PS for dinners and stuff but I know that the meat & potatoes part of my trip (the hotel stay, DME arrangements and air) are done and done correctly!!! Belle

LOL...I was just teasing you. :)

But it's the last part that was most important to me this time - that it's done and done correctly. Although CRO is generally very good, I have had problems in the past with CM's putting information in (say, room requests) and the next CM I talk to a week later says nothing is noted (not that I didn't get it, but that it wasn't even requested). I have a few medical requests for this trip, so I wanted to be sure that everything was kosher.

The day this discount in particular came out we had little to no information about how limited it was, how long it would last, etc. - it was such a great deal is was so satisfying to know that we got it and for sure. I know someone who tried to book themselves the first day and the CM didn't know what they were talking about.

Plus, as much as I love talking to Disney - how many frickin' times do I have to repeat my phone number and my name? LOL. It was simply easier to do it through Pam. I haven't used a travel agent in over a decade before this (I was a teenager, lol) but this time it was so much more convenient. What I like most about Pam so far is working through e-mail - I just don't always have time to make phone calls and when I do it's usually 3AM lol.

Again, though - it's whatever works for you. For me, the biggest reason to NOT use an agent before was that I wanted to be able to change what I wanted when I wanted, but that always meant more phone calls and redundant questions ("If you have visited the Walt Disney World Resort before, with at least one visit since 1998..."). This is even more flexible, because between e-mail, phone, and IM, Pam is available more than CRO. :)

Exactly!!! And Pam wont mind if you drop her an E mail at 3 am!!!! I dont think she would appreciate a phone call though. Also if you book with Pam and a discount comes out, she will automatically switch you over. I dont know any other travel agent or agency that will do that besides Disney and Pam!!! And Disney wont alert you but if you find out and you call they will switch you. Pam usually does this automatically unless there is a question on something at which point she will call the client first and explain all the options. Plus the personal touch of dealing with one person on all of my travel stuff is nice. I dont have to explain the same story to several CMs!!!! Belle

LOL!

Sorry if I wasn't clear. What I meant was, by the time I usually have time to call someone it's the middle of the night, so obviously I can't. ;) That's why being able to deal with it via e-mail is so convenient, so when I have the time to deal with it I have an alternative. I also like e-mail because no one has to hold - conversely to my being able to send an email any time, she can reply to it as soon as she has the time.

Hehe, sorry for any confusion. ;) Let's hope Pam doesn't start getting late night calls.
