I agree with AEfx though, it is a very personal decision and shouldnt be made lightly or quickly. It took me a while but ever since I have been using Pam's services I have been more than happy with the trips that I have had planned. I do still do my own PS for dinners and stuff but I know that the meat & potatoes part of my trip (the hotel stay, DME arrangements and air) are done and done correctly!!! Belle
LOL...I was just teasing you.

But it's the last part that was most important to me this time - that it's done and done correctly. Although CRO is generally very good, I have had problems in the past with CM's putting information in (say, room requests) and the next CM I talk to a week later says nothing is noted (not that I didn't get it, but that it wasn't even requested). I have a few medical requests for this trip, so I wanted to be sure that everything was kosher.
The day this discount in particular came out we had little to no information about how limited it was, how long it would last, etc. - it was such a great deal is was so satisfying to know that we got it and for sure. I know someone who tried to book themselves the first day and the CM didn't know what they were talking about.
Plus, as much as I love talking to Disney - how many frickin' times do I have to repeat my phone number and my name? LOL. It was simply easier to do it through Pam. I haven't used a travel agent in over a decade before this (I was a teenager, lol) but this time it was so much more convenient. What I like most about Pam so far is working through e-mail - I just don't always have time to make phone calls and when I do it's usually 3AM lol.
Again, though - it's whatever works for you. For me, the biggest reason to NOT use an agent before was that I wanted to be able to change what I wanted when I wanted, but that always meant more phone calls and redundant questions ("If you have visited the Walt Disney World Resort before, with at least one visit since 1998..."). This is even more flexible, because between e-mail, phone, and IM, Pam is available more than CRO.
