As for the earlier complaint about interference with the fixture.. We were always told to plan for no more than 2-5% intensity loss due to the slight refocusing that happens through the domes. Granted this was while I was in college 10-ish years ago, but I'd guess it still holds true.
Still holds true for sure. Almost not noticeable if you aren't looking for it.

This may mark the first time that my Stagecraft major (a second major, but a major still) has produced information useful to someone other than myself.

Tech. Theatre major here focusing in lighting and sound design, with some computer science and electrical engineering thrown in for good measure.

They certainly had the ability to move a lot of water in a short amount of time. Big pumps, big pipes and reservoirs on top of the set to hold the water
Yep. But no "tanks"

The reservoirs were built into the higher structure of the rock work and supports and were part of the structural integrity. No tanks that could just be removed.

Rivers of light update as of the 27th at 12:00pm. I saw a couple of workers today but not very many.
