I'm sure audiences will love this! Sadly, we will get complaints on this forum how it ruins the story and tradition...blah blah blah. Apparently, it doesn't matter what most guests like because they "don't get it".

Sounds about right.

Also, I'm expecting a reaction like 0:36 from someone when the new effects go live.

Not likely. This one, if it comes off as good as the claims reported so far, will not likely get too many complaints, if any. They are existing characters being plussed. They are being given more movement and abilities not possible with the original stick puppet figures. Completely different issue from the new queue fiasco.

Did anyone complain when the new staircase scene was installed? No. (None that I've ever heard.) All reactions to that enhancement that I've ever seen were positive. Why? Because the new scene fit in perfectly. There was no storyline disturbed, no information needed to understand, and finally - it was appropriate.

I love how the queue is now a "fiasco". How absurd..maybe u don't care for it but it is NOT a fiasco. In fact, quite the opposite from a guests point of view. Guests aren't stupid like its been implied by others on these boards. The fact that ppl enjoy this new queue doesn't mean that they are part of the ipod group that only enjoy flashy. I am growing to resent such a close minded opinion.

It's not a "close minded opinion" at all. I wanted to like the new queue, but I don't. It doesn't fit in at all with the rest of the attraction whereas the 2007 enhancements fit the attraction perfectly with few complaints. They had the chance to make something that was well done and fit nicely, but they botched it. Big time.

Or maybe we just really like different things. "Blah blah blah."

Way more people shop at Wal-Mart than most other stores. CBS is the most-watched network and I don't watch a single show on CBS. Some of us like different things than others.

Actually it is as inevitable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. When the Escher scene went in there was a member whose life was quite literally over because the spiders had been removed.

At least that guy had the decency to avoid posting essay after essay about why losing the spiders was so awful for him. If only the queue discussion could have had similar brevity...

Personally, I've enjoyed reading the queue thread. Both sides have valid points and no one has been too nasty. I like the discussion.
