New flooring being installed in Epcot Future World breezeways

I hope that goes soon. Kinda clashes with the other patterns of the area.

And maybe removing the checkerboard flooring will remove the other checkerboard shaped thing in the plaza.:animwink:

I don't think so. The tarps were designed for the Millenium Celebration. I think they may have been inspired by the design on the ground. Martin will probably know.

Think the tarps are also to shade people from the sun? Then there's a purpose to them... :animwink:

And as for that last pic, opening up the windows is perhaps the most obvious reason why. Plus the blue SSE.

One of the things I'd like to see with a Plaza redo is taking out Pin Central (it can easily go in MouseGear), and doing something novel with the Tip Board. Maybe like put one over the entrance to each breezeway to fill in the gap in the ceiling flair. It could also double as directional signage to Future World East and Future World West.

And as for where Pin Central is now....Inno Plaza could use a focal point. It should be the fountain, but that's too far away. Maybe a flag park like in the old CommuniCore Court? Or a statue of sorts? Walt with his pointer and a bronze model of EPCOT in the background?
