There is a little box before it shows what thread it was commented on... well one box has a green icon (like the ones showing your status), one grey and one red... what are they... are they bad?? BTW... only the red one has a comment.. the others are blank.. does this make a difference? :veryconfu :lookaroun :veryconfu

I would have thought Green = Good, Red = Bad, Grey = Indifferent.

The size of your writing will very between monitor AND screen resolution (the later being more important. 3 is a good size, 2 is too small I think :wave:

...Underneath are boxes that have a link to the post you are getting points for. Just in front of that is a small space for the indicator light...the ones on mine are all green except for one...its gray. The person who posted those points (and comment) has a less than stellar reputation, hence the gray little square indicator.
If I were to give you any points the indicator light would be green because that is my status.

I'm not sure how many points we start off with, Steve never said, but we all started off equal. I'm not sure how many points are given/taken away though someone had the theory that it may vary with status (the higher the status the more points given/taken).

Maybe Steve can clarify for us.

I could be wrong, but I don't think this is a good thing! There are always going to people that don't like you know matter how nice you are and a negative count can only lead to hurt feelings and possibly dropping out of wdwmagic.

Chances are though...that people who partake in that sort of behavior, already have a bad reputation anyway...some people will do anything for attention I guess....

I have come to the conclusion that these reputation points don't mean squat. I have openly solicited (and received) many negative points from you helpful members. However, I still am "on a distinguished road". Perhaps if I told you that I set some rodent traps at the MK, would that help?

The system is not going to work if you go around asking for reputation points. However, I think the fact that your status is not changing is a good indicator that the system IS working --ie. your requests to cheat the system are not affecting your status.
