New Feature: User Reputations

I like the idea of reps. I'm never quite sure how I stand with people on these boards, so hopefully this will give me some incite. I think this will be quite a useful feature, so long as it's not abused. :)

Darrel, I think you may end up liking this feature. I know you have mentioned trouble with (now banned) members in the past and I think this feature will keep that kind of negativity in check. Hopefully people will think twice before posting something cruel or offensive, or before jumping all over another member.

I must be looking in the wrong place - I looked on my User CP page, under the listing for Subscribed Threads, and there's nothing listed there. Of course, this could also mean that nobody has anything to say about me AT ALL, couldn't it? :( )

A question: I think someone decided to subtract from my reputation but I'm not sure. When someone adds or subtracts, is there a color differentiating from the two? My "reputation received" has a gray dot next to it, so I'm assuming I got something bad. I think I know who did it but I still have 10 points in my total so did that person not get counted?

Now someone really sweet decided to give me a good rep or whatever you call it. Who was it? Was it you? Or you? Too bad this doesn't tell you because I want to give them points back :lol: Thanks stranger :D. But like figmentmom said I wasn't fishing for one I just wanted to know how it worked. But now I'm almost sure who gave me the bad one. Oh well...not something to cry about.

I think the color of the dot is the indicator of the person giving the points. I also have a gray dot, but a comment was posted so I know who gave me the points and their indicator is gray. (does that make any sense? :lol: )

Wait a second. If you go to your User CP, and you check the thing, does it mean it went down when the little light is red? Because it says 8 Points total and mine just went down to unknown quantity. :confused:

You know it!!! I'm just a TAD obsessive about a few things, and I can forsee myself REALLY getting stressed out about how many points I have!!!
