EPCOT has too many palms, now that you mention it. (was that bait?) Palms belong in Adventureland, and in places like this, for theming. Not just generic landscaping. I miss the oaks that FW Central and East once had. West never had a problem.
I guess you could say that (both ways, of course!).

In any case, TLM had palms in the film and will be prominent with the new attraction. Besides...

Re: TLM. I thought it took place in France, being it's a thinly disguised version of the story of Mary Magdalene and all--didn't you all read The Da Vinci Code?

Re: the actual news/rumor that started this thread. 130 an hour seems like a ridiculously low capacity--even 225 doesn't sound like it would cut it. If this is true, expect insane lines.

I wonder if Disney missed the boat here--this idea sounds like it could have been the basis of their "botique" theme park, along the lines of Discovery Cover or their rumored Harry Potter park. A series of highly themed, interactive 20-minute meet-and-greets might have been comparable enough to a dolphin swim to draw guests.

Good thought...but I was always under the impression that the botique park was more for DAK.
Not on my Mac. He's being worked on.

And yes, that pic makes lots of sense. :D

Wow, just wow. I'm glad to hear there is another poster who agrees it's a dream. Someday I'll force myself to watch the movie again. I'll make up my own mind.

Anyway, I'm starting to think wdw74 may be right. If people here don't see the problem with palm trees being placed inside the new FL, then guests are certainly lowering expectations. And he is correct in saying that if guests haver lower expectations, then Disney is more than happy to oblige.

It used to be guests expected a cohesiveness to the story telling Disney so richly accomplished in the design of the "lands" that make up it's theme parks.

I just find it amazing that people would accept a tropical exterior to LM and also complain about characters in Epcot's Future World. It makes no sense to be so contradictory. :brick:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Thank you.

She goes to sleep at the end of this clip at the end of her first day as a human:

She wakes up the next morning and goes a tour of Prince Eric's kingdom the next day at the beginning of this clip:

After the tour (which you can clearly see palm trees in), the kiss the girl scene happens. It is not a dream.

I've seen movies where you see a character wake up but in fact it is part of a dream. Very common movie technique.

Dude, she goes to bed. King Triton is informed they can't find her. The sun rises, she goes on the freaking tour. It ain't a dream. Get over yourself and admit that you are wrong this time. I mean seriously the teenagers I teach aren't as thick headed as you are. :brick: :brick: :brick: :brick: :brick:

Edit: Are you saying the Kiss the Girl scene and other characters dialogue during the scene are also part of the dream?
