NBA Playoffs

GO KNICKS oh wait they stink.

This will be either a Celtic/Laker or a Celtic/Hornet finals this year. Ray Allen has been struggling, but the Celts are still taking care of business. Also KG who has been known as someone who chokes in the playoffs has played very well. I am shocked at how the Spurs are playing right now. They can play better than they are, and the Hornets are playing better than they should and they deserve to be where they are.

The Spurs are just horrible right now. What is their problem?!? If they keep it up, they deserve to lose. I hope they don't, but that's the game!

I cannot believe we just blew that. What a win for the Pistons without Billups. Oh well. I guess it'll just be that much sweeter when we knock them out next year.

Hopefully Otis is taking notes for this offseason:
1) Get Fran over here (and convince him to cover big part of buyout)
2) Resign two of Dooling, Evans, Bogans
3) Draft Chris Douglas-Roberts
4) Sign Kurt Thomas
5) Sign taller backup point guard
= 2009 Eastern Conference Champs

That game made me as mad as any NBA game ever has. I'm still steaming. I'm ready for the season to be over right now. The Pistons could rest ALL of their starters on Tuesday and still blow us out. Pathetic.

It seems like every time we get into a close game lately Dooling does something to screw us up. That technical tonight, that offensive foul in game two against Toronto, and I think I remember another offensive foul in the closing seconds at the end of the season.

Jameer, why did you pick tonight to miss your free throws? You know we are going to lose when Dwight makes his ft's and the rest of the team misses.

Why? We just blew our chance at making the ECF's. How do you blow a fifteen point third quarter lead to a Detroit team missing Billups? Why do we let Rip and Prince kill us night after night? Honestly, they iso-ed Rip and Dooling like five times in a row, and Rip won each time! After having such a great season, it stinks to go out like this. Prove me wrong Magic!

Unless he said something really bad, that technical call was total crap. Rasheed and Rip had complained emphatically ALL GAME LONG and they had no technicals at all. Unless he said some of the things Jackie Moon would say to officials (Look at the Semi Pro red band trailer if you don't know what I'm talking about ;) ), that was a serious mistake by the officiating crew. But after Game 2, why should we expect anything less out of them, eh?

Still, nobody to blame for this game but us. Had it in our hands and let it slip away, just like the series. How can you not score a basket in about 6 minutes of the 3rd quarter? How can it take you about 4 or 5 minutes to score your first basket of the 4th quarter? It blows my mind and this game is going to be hard to get out of my mind during the offseason. What could have happened if we went back up there 2-2? It would have given us hope, but instead of find yet another heartbreaking way to lose to the Pistons in the Playoffs. I thought we had pretty much had all types of losses covered, but we managed to rip our hearts out a different way today. At least they accomplished something.

Give the Magic a year to grow and mature, develop and strengthen, and they can be a force in the East with Howard leading the way. It takes time in the NBA for this.

Oh I know. It's just....the Pistons. If this were any other team, it would be a lot easier to swallow. But they always find a way to beat us no matter the circumstances. Blowouts, heartbreakers, full strength, minus starting PG, all the breaks going their way. You name it, they've done it to us.

Yeah, I mean, there must have been something said. I don't know though, Rip's dive in the complete opposite direction may have helped.

No doubt about that, it's just hard since we haven't been here since 1996. That and we are two plays away from being up 3-1. But hey, it's good experience for a young team, and this will only make them stronger, right?

Since the wizards were knocked out of the playoffs I guess Boston is the team i hope wins it all. Boston vs Hornets might make a good NBA Final
