MSEP to stay at WDW for 2 years?

Any one under the mistaken belief that Al Lutz does nothing but praise DL should find some of the stuff he was writing when Paul Pressler and Cynthia Harris were running it.

That's an excellent point. For those wondering, Al Lutz has been doing online columns about Disneyland for over a decade now. Some of his stuff from the late 1990's and early 00's was truly brutal (but deserved) criticism of TDA executives.

I firmly believe that Al Lutz and his online scooping of TDA rumors helped bring the Pressler/Harriss era to an end. When the local SoCal media (LA Times, TV news, etc.) and national newspapers (Wall Street Journal) started quoting Al Lutz about 7 or 8 years ago, Pressler and Harriss didn't stand a chance in salvaging their Disney careers. We have a 1.2 Billion dollar investment in DCA's makeover to thank for that.

I bet he helped just as much as online petitions helped

I'd like to think the online community helps Disney see what they're doing wrong, but I doubt management cares what we think as long as they profit. I guess I'm pessimistic on this topic.

If they got that job and they suck at it then the person hiring is the bigger problem imo...

So should we start a betting pool at what point towards the end of Nightastic that the inevitable press release comes out saying due to popular demand MSEP will continue after Nightastic ends. You know it's coming if the rumor is true.

I'm still pulling for it to stay until Sept 2011, so Spectro can return on Oct 1 2011. ;)

Hmmm... I have longed to see MSEP since it last left WDW. I'm thrilled that it's coming back, but I'm not sure how I feel about it staying there for more than a summer?....especially since I now know my favorite float (Dumbo) is no longer there!!! I never saw the parade at DL, so I guess I'll have to make my judgement about how I feel about this whole thing once I see it. Though I will say that I've been going crazy listening to my picture-disc 7'' vinyl of the MSEP music :D

You all just need to chill.
The Main Street Electrical Parade is truly a great parade.
You have to see it to believe it.
Please take the time to see it for yourselves before passing judgement.
It's incredible and the music is the best.

Saw it the last time it was here. I just do not like the music at all.

God she is so annoying.

Oy, agreed. SNL is a sad empty husk of what it once was.
