I'm sorry but you're mistaken. One float is new. The snow white and Pinno. floats are from an earlier rendition of the parade and where pulled out of storage and refurbished. The music is from Tokyo dreamlights and is not a new version created for DCA. Also, I don't need to watch the parade on youtube cause I spent all of Summer Nighttastic watching it when it was debuted at DCA while working. The parade is not new. Not by along shot.
You are mistaken on a few accounts. First, the music is from DCA, it's been re-mastered. Second, there are SEVERAL new floats including Tink, Snow White, I believe and some other ones that were added for DCA. The correlation to CDCTnis illusory at best...That's been the same exact parade now for 9 years, only changes in music. MSEP is going to have that, lighting upgrades, and new floats, as I've already pointed out.
Responses like this? Thanks for being condensing. That's not appreciated....and to be honest with you, wrong. The reason for that would lie with TDO, and their distaste of spending money on new venues. How that revolves around my opinion in my posts is beyond me. Which, BTW, is also a bit off. I'm a critic of TDO and what goes on in WDW. More often than not, I'm not pleased with that I see, and it, again, honestly pains me to say that. I expect a TON out of Disney. I love their product. I love their history. Finally, it seems, finally, TDO or WHOMEVER has woken up, and given us something we want. More entertainment....and it's in the return of a nostalgic old favorite that's been plussed to the point of it being totally different. (It seriously is. Look it up. Watch some of the videos. The promotional ones at least) There's no way you can call MSEP "old". On top of that, MMM, and ToT. And the hours at DAK, too, I guess. I hardly call this a bad move, or not enough. It's fine for summer. It's TDO finally doing something right for a change...bringing in exclusive, limited, and already popular entertainment for us. I think it deserves praise for once. So yes, maybe, my post does get us this. If it continues to, I'm happy. Nightastic is great.
I guess some will never be happy...I'm fine with that.
But that said, don't think that I'm head over heals in love with TDO. They still have MANY problems to correct and a lot to do in WDW. But this is a great start. Again. Being fair to them, is the best way to be reasonable and get read by them. That's what I'm banking on anyway.
Saying this parade is new while CDCT is the same old parade is also highly laughable. Its the same parade just with new music and costumes plus a "new" opening float. In fact CDCT is more new than the "New" MSEP cause its still the same as it was from 30+ years ago.
Its great we are getting a summer promotion but just like MSEP it isn't a new one. It's only borrowed from Disneyland. While im excited about MSEP and the Fireworks I would be more excited to get NEW! This isn't NEW!
And you will note that my argument was not doubting that claim. Please don't twist my point. :wave:

That's great that it's new to you but that doesn't make it new. If it was new all the floats would be as beautiful and well designed as the new Tinkerbell float. Until then, it's just the same old parade.

I wouldn't call it the "Same old parade" since it has seen some pretty big updates since it was last here in 2001. I would just call it an old parade.

So MK is getting Indiana Jones, the original Tiki Room, the extended Pirates, Fantasmic, updates to the Fantasyland dark rides, the Alice dark ride, the Roger Rabbit dark ride, Storybookland, the Matterhorn, the Submarines, a better version of Buzz Lightyear, Primeveal Diorama, a Tinkerbelle who flies around the castle, and an actual updated Space Mountain?
You're right, MK is nipping at the heels of DL!

at this rate, they'll bring back Fantasy in the Sky because it may have used less shells than Wishes, and will bring back "if you had wings" by removing all the cardboard sets from Buzz, and hiring a film crew to go to puerto rico, mexico, and new orleans.....causing an eastern airlines flight attendant reunion party to take place at the contemporary convention center :hammer:

CDCT has seen no physical changes. Only musical.
MSEP? EVERY aspect has changed. Lights, tech, look, music, name. And yes, the music is different from DCA to TDL. I have the tracks right here. Slight and subtle differences in some areas, but in others, not so much. It's different.
Same name, same parade, give you that. TOT will be different, MMM will be different.
I'm fine with that. 1000%.
If you are not, I see no reason to go back and forth, seeing that you are not welcoming to discussion.

I'm all for discussion. I'm also excited to see MSEP here at WDW cause it's like a piece of California followed me home after I moved back to florida. I just fail to see how CDCT isn't new when compared to the "new" MSEP?
I'm sorry but not every aspect has changed about MSEP. Yes they added LEDs but only to select elements (such as the pixie dust trails) and other additions (such as the Cheshire cat and to the costumes.) Not every float received "refreshed" LEDs. The Pinnoc float certainly didn't get any new lighting upgrades. Music isn't new either. It's the same music just re recorded and most of the enhancements come from Dreamlights.
DDCT parade however has had a major make over to CDCT when compared to MSEP. A new look for the lead float. All new costumes. All new music. All new choreography and an all new show stop. That to me adds up to more new than any of the changes to MSEP.
MSEP like you said, same name, same parade. CDCT however is new name, new feel/look and is a new parade just with old floats.
I'm sorry that you feel that I am not up for discussion but I thought a part of discussion was going back and forth stating our point of view. But as you said: Respectfully agree to disagree....:wave:
