Great art, well executed, makes the movie, computers or not.
And if you need proof that CGI alone is not the answer, just look at this week's returns for "Valient".... Perhaps itself a good story (don't know), but CGI and "from the makers of 'Shrek'" did not sell it....
Disney movies AND theme parks and resorts have something unique that goes beyond technology. And too much outsourcing, at the cost of seasoned Disney professionals who understand that, will cost the company the culture and product that makes it unique, as seguels and cheap stuff have already started to do.
Some outsourcing is O.K., but loyalty and ownership of the product go a long way in supporting investments that matter... and innovation that fits and enhances the company's legacy.
