Oh Thankyou both for schooling me! Next time I make a post I will contact you both so I can save myself the embarrassment of looking stupid and receiving another snarky answer. :) I apologize for not having all the info I will read all information availible to me next time before opening my mouth again.

On behalf of Mr. Mystic and myself (a Mystic and a Spirit, imagine that?), I'll accept your apology for not knowing Fanboi 101 stuff that has been discussed here a trillion times.

I expect better from you the next time ...

I have an account there, but no time to be there and argue there ... and have no clue who this guy is ... I do know that the planned Studios makeover hasn't changed all that much from when it was first proposed.

There still is no LucasLand happening. There is no 'let's move part of the park across the street' taking part. There still is very little nailed down for certain, but most of it is what some of us have been telling people here for months now.

But 'Hate to Fly' is welcome to join here and spill what he/she knows.

When a Spirit says "most of it" I begin sighing and realising I might as well split my time between St.Augustine/SeaWorld/USOR in 2017.

this still leaves my question unanswered. where whould they have the sufficiant room to expand and build a whole new land? something like this shouldnt be on the same scale as potterland. it deservers a whole new area all to itself, at least double that size

I'm sure by then it will be time to bring back the MSEP for another run. And we'll have at least two new DVC resorts to enjoy.

EDIT: and thanks to the mods who moved this down here where it belongs.

I love puppies and would never run one over. What an awful and hateful thing to say ... I also enjoy balloons so I really don't know what your point is. And it's already evening where I am located ... so have a MAGICal night!

My point - You are gauche and maybe should learn to treat people with a little respect instead of acting pompous while belittling other forum members who were simply making a post in a discussion forum.

No. Not at all. @KevinYee is mistaken. This is a fanboi created rumour with basically no real world basis beyond the fact some creatives would enjoy working on a theme park world based on the IP. I don't know who snookered Kevin or why (and to be fair, a few of my peeps had heard this, but when I looked deeper, it was obvious a fanboi -- either film-based or UNI -- rumour ... it's happening as much as Star Wars Land is happening).

But UNI DOES have HUGE plans for the future. Just again, NOT LoTR. Let's kill this before it spreads any further.
Consider it slaughtered. Kevin's usually pretty conservative with his rumor reporting so I was giving it benefit of the doubt. At the end of the day it does disappoint that all the momentum of excitement lies with UOA (even in rumor form).

I think it is great news and I'm excited about universal getting the chance to create the world....this is a game changer. They have potter and the world of Tolkien. Wow!!!! Look how much the first hobbit movie is raking in.

Disney buys Marvel and Lucasfilm...and then sits on those franchises (as far as world building in the parks are concerned)

If Disney bought the Tolkien world...you would see nothing in the parks except a meet and greet (though I do trust Disney as far as creating films, I don't trust them in park direction, Disney must prove itself once again)

Who doesn't want to go to universal with an expanded Harry potter world and a newly created Tolkien world?
Great news for fans.

For the first time ever I can honestly say Disney is now in the back seat as far as theme park excitement.
FLE is cute...Universal is not going for cute, they are going for a game changing experience!

Of course...deal isn't done yet....but wow if this becomes official.

How will Disney respond? They won't, this is Universal's reaction to Avatarland, not them being inovative or getting one up on Disney, think about it, like phi2134 said, it would be a beautiful land with some interesting character interaction possibilities, but limited in what would be legitimate rides much like Avatarland is going to be. WDW is still experiencing phase closures with an additional 20 acres of land added to the MK, do you really think they are concerned about what Universal is doing. Universal's problem is they are always trying to out do Disney and look at it as a competition, Disney doesn't care what they do because they realize that if people are going to go vacation at Universal, there is a good chance that they will spend a day or two at WDW as well. Its the same philosophy as building a restaurant, which do you think would do better, a restaurant that is far away from everything, or one that is near other restaurants, its the later, because variety brings more business.

Sorry but the strategy you laid out in your post is not how Disney works. Not only are they concerned what Universal is doing but they are also concerned with what Sea World, Gatorland, NBC, HBO, the National Park service, Paris (as a tourist destination), even Disneyland, XBOX, Sony, etc. is doing. Disney, and Universal execs alike, are NOT sitting in offices trying to win a chess match with each other. They are playing a chess match with anything and everything that impacts their daily, weekly and monthly visits. Sure Disney is concerend with Universal taking night stays away from them but are also concerend what Vegas has to offer with the chance of losing an entire vacation stay.

Trust me...Disney is NOT sitting back with the attitude that if people are going to Universal then they will come visit Disney. R. Garfield would fire anyone on the spot for even suggesting that. Sure variety brings more business which is a great perspective for Orange County and Osceola County. Sorry to say your philosophy does not work especially in a volitile entertainment/tourist market like Central Florida.

Since my definition of gauche is:
Lacking ease or grace; unsophisticated and socially awkward, I most definitely am not any of the above. It just gets tiresome and tedious when people come in and talk without doing any research or having any facts on their side. And if they aren't corrected, misinformation spreads like VD in a frat house. I'm not trying to belittle anyone, but I wish people would think a bit before they post. Now ... I'm done. If you'd like the last word ... by all means ...

I've heard nothing of it.
Jurassic and Seuss are the only potential expansions I've been hearing about.

Only a very few would have known about this much like the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm. Again...if this is true.

If it is true...it is a game changer.

Gauche: adj : lacking social experience or grace; also : not tactful : see Crude

I see your annoyance but remember this is a discussion forum where posters discuss ideas, future plans and opinions. So like the definition above ^ All I am asking for is in the future maybe have a little tact and show some respect for other members here by not jumping down their throat for a simple mistake, try ignoring it instead of having to say something (If you can't say something nice...). FYI & IMHO the words in your post in bold insinuate stupidity which some may consider belittling and or just rude.

You aren't incorrect. UNI does have an interest in said franchises (disclaimer: I have never seen any of the films or read the books, so this gets me about as psyched as Avatar) and I know some 'things' are going on behind the scenes.

I don't know who is talking to whom or how far or serious those talks are, but they are happening.

But @Lee, who hates Disney with every fiber of his being, is correct that the current BIG things headed to IOA will be in JP and Seuss Landing. ... Down the road ... who knows?

If true, this is so far above Avatar it is laughable. I love the middle earth world and judging by the first hobbit movie's box office return...millions love this world.

If true...having potter, marvel, Tolkien in the same park....game changer. Look at the crowds that came to potter world...that same group will be there for Tolkien.

They would be there for a Star Wars land...but Disney has decided to pass on world building in the Star Wars universe since they have star tours.

If true...game changer! ...I have no clue if this is true. Just a fun rumor to speculate on.
