It will be interesting to see what Microsoft makes of its first new Microsoft Store when it opens here in Orange County in October. I'm sure they'll have some sort of "genius bar" type setup.

The upscale mall the Microsoft Store is going into, The Shops at Mission Viejo, already has an Apple Store. I'm not sure where in the mall the Microsoft Store will be, but it could be fun if they were close together.

Dell.. its tough... you need to wiggle your way up to Tier 2 and try to bypass the India call centers. It can be done.. if you know what you are talking about.

IBM... for the most part, yes. I deal with the folks down in the call center in Atlanta, and some locals here in Chicago.

I find this rumor very interesting because the technology is extremely cool. It is technology that should be displayed in EPCOT like it is displayed in Innoventions at Disneyland.

I love the Odyssey building. I love the retro feel of the place. They still have the old style pay phones in the lobby.

The last few times we've eaten at the Electric Umbrella we've been disappointed in the food. I know it's just counter servcie, but how can they make a cheese burger taste that bad. Yuck. I'll never eat in there again. A new quick service in Tomorrowland would be welcomed by me at least.

This is just supposition, but I would imagine that if Microsoft is sponsoring it to promote its Surface technology, it would want the restaurant to be open to as many guests as possible.

Very, very unlikely to happen, most of the facilities to make it a restaurant are not there or have been relocated elsewhere. The food served there now for special events is cooked at the Special Events location and trucked over. The restaurant does not have the capabilities to cook for guests and does not have the capabilities to handle current guest capacities.

It's like a defunct ride (ie. Food Rocks) --- the facility is there, but can't operate in its original conditions.

So the almighty mac can be crashed in two ways instead of just one... Is that why they cost so much more - because they offer more crashy goodness?

Credit to mac for letting us know in multiple languages it's failed, that's very inclusive of them.

We just bought our first mac last Saturday - have been a PC family since I was 5 (dad worked for IBM for 40+ years)... wife loves it (has one at work) and I'm not sold. I could have had an IBM with blu-ray burner for less than the mac.

Anyway, love the tabletop idea and I have to believe you can make that thing water tight with today's technology such that you could still serve on it. Touch technology is amazing these days.

EE, I am not sure how new your Mac is, but the newest MacBooks have been having some board issues. I think Apple has been replacing them without too much argument, but it is a known problem. Not sure if that is causing your issue, and I think resetting the PRAM like janoimagine mentioned is a good idea. We also use a program called Onyx on our Macs. It fixes a lot of issues for us. Similar to running CCleaner on a PC --hope that helps.:wave:

Just to add fuel to the Mac vs. PC fire 15% of our users work with Macs, while 85% work with PCs, yet the Macs alone account for 50% of our work load in terms of repairs, so from my experience I prefer PC.

Back on topic, I would love to see the Odyssey revived with or without Microsoft. I hate seeing those big buildings (WoL and Odyssey) sit empty when they could have something great inside.
