Microsoft to be in the Odyssey at EPCOT?

EE, I am not sure how new your Mac is, but the newest MacBooks have been having some board issues. I think Apple has been replacing them without too much argument, but it is a known problem. Not sure if that is causing your issue, and I think resetting the PRAM like janoimagine mentioned is a good idea. We also use a program called Onyx on our Macs. It fixes a lot of issues for us. Similar to running CCleaner on a PC --hope that helps.

Just to add fuel to the Mac vs. PC fire 15% of our users work with Macs, while 85% work with PCs, yet the Macs alone account for 50% of our work load in terms of repairs, so from my experience I prefer PC.

Back on topic, I would love to see the Odyssey revived with or without Microsoft. I hate seeing those big buildings (WoL and Odyssey) sit empty when they could have something great inside.
I got it in 2007 with the OS X it came with...Tiger 10.4.11.

I'll have them look at it.

And agreed! It's just odd to see a empty building like that. People think it's offices.

Good point, I should have said I wish it was open to general guests again.

Indeed.

It just helps to prove my point....there is no perfect computer. As long as there is a carbon based life form running the mouse and keyboard you will have issues.

This sounds like a fantastic idea! I would go just for the experience, even if the food is no good!

This is the kind of thing we should be seeing in EPCOT.

Mac Vs PC - I'll hold off for now....

Not to get too far from the topic, but a computer is only as smart as the person running it. Even with AI, someone still had to program the AI to figure out what to do.

Would it be good to see Odyssey open again to the public in some form? Can't hurt. Is it needed? I would rather see them re-open Wonder of Life as a year round attraction, not a seasonal event space. The Millenium building seems to be more than sufficient to hold most of the special events. And even if they keep Odyssey as event space, something needs to be done with it. It comes off looking like an eyesore as an abandoned building in the middle of the public view.

Exactly. The one advantage Mac's seem to have is fewer options so there is less for someone to screw up. For the most part they save the guy who thinks he knows more than he really does from himself, but that comes at a price.

The buildings (odyessey & WoL) are too central in location and I agree they like there should be something going on in them. I hope this Microsoft thing is real. I will be speaking to my friend again next week; I'll ask for an update.

Another reason to love Mac's ... the genius bar. I guess PC owners have ... wait, PC owners don't have a genius bar. Thats a drag ....

I may have just started a war. :D

Ah, the wonder of an Apple fanboi. Probably using your first Macbook, right? I've been a Mac user for more years than I care to reveal, own more Macs than I really should and have actually never owned a Microsoft machine, just used them at work. But to say Windows users have no resources to use is just plain ignorant. You have one resource when something goes wrong, some hipster douchebag at the mall. Maybe some internet forums. Windows users have a wealth of knowledge that dwarves our little Mac world in a horrendous manner.

I could have had an IBM with blu-ray burner for less than the mac.

If that's the attitude, then yes, you'll never be "convinced" to get a Mac. But if you look at the build quality, bundled software, attention to detail with work flow, etc, it pays for itself. I could have gotten a cheapo computer instead of my MacBook Pro, but my PowerBook lasted me nearly 5 years and was only replaced because it was growing long in the tooth and showed it, not that it was broken. Can't say that about many of my friend's PCs that are 4 years old, let alone 5...

Odyssey open again? Sweet!

Touch screen e-order tables? Sweeter!

The Oyssey is in a great location with awesome views, I hope this rumor proves to be true. I like how the inside is still in its 1982 glory, even the bathrooms are awash in brown and tan tiles.
