Marvel teases a Journey into Imagination comic

Second, the hints dropped regarding the possibility of maybe making the comic stories into a feature film. For ages fans have been talking about a film version of the 'Journey Into Imagination' concept showing a theatrical adventure with Dreamfinder & Figment.

In today's world of film making and state-of-the-art effects, it is now more possible then ever before to produce such a adventure.

If they infact go this direction my only words will be SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! because quiet honestly, I agree, with all the advances {say, WETA Digital, and ILM, or PIXAR or even Dreamworks Animation} in movie making, yes, Figment on the big screen is indeed possible!

Imagine (hehe ;)) children singing One Little Spark instead of Let it Go...

This must happen.

Here is a article posted on the D23 website recently about the introduction of the comic.
Much of the art shown is images already shown elsewhere, but there are a couple of 'new' images -

A couple of things brought to light i found interesting while reading the above article.
First, the list of Imagineers noted as contributing do not include the ONE person you would assume would be the #1 guy to go to about this particular pair of characters and their history.
Yes, he may be a 'part time Advisor' now...but how could his imput on the subject matter be overlooked for a project like this?
I found that a bit disappointing.
Actually, Zub mentioned they did talk with Tony about the project in some other interviews.

I just finished my copy. It was a nice introduction to the story. Can't wait till the next issue to see what the actual Journey into Imagination is like. Also this story does seem to lend itself well to a movie adaptation, which I would LOVE to see :D

I live in Baton Rouge and we only have ONE comic shop these days, sadly. I mean, the guys at the one shop are cool, but it would be nice if they weren't the ONLY game in town ;)

Anyway, I reserved mine a few days before it came out and so did a friend of mine. Then when I went back today to see if I could finagle the advertisement poster from them (AND I DID!! WOOP WOOP!), they said at LEAST forty other disnerds had been in to get it, and that they would have to order up next month!

That makes me REALLY happy!

So to the other Baton Rougeans, thanks for buying it! Keep asking them to get more!!! :D

Marvel's posted solicits for their September releases.

That sphere sure looks like it's gonna be a means of incorporating the Rainbow Tunnel.

For anyone not near a comic book store (or in a different country), I picked it up on the official Marvel Android app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marvel.comics) for £2.50 shared across all my devices, which wasn't too bad I thought.
I like having a physical copy to read myself. But I'm old school.

If anyone else doesn't have a shop near them or can't find it, I suggest using Midtown Comics online store. You can create a pull list and they will send you your books every 2 weeks or monthly. I use them because all my local stores are full of creepers that I would rather not see again.

The 'varient cover' version i talked about earlier in this thread featuring Andy Gaskill's artwork is going for crazy money on eBay right now....
Nice to see it is already being regarding as a sought after collectible.

Glad to see i am not the only 'old-school Original' fan who remembers Andy's important role in the creation of these characters.

:)

Where can I buy these? I havent been to a comic store since i was a kid, online would be best.
I don't know, they are sold out on midtown comics and I can't find a digital version.
