Say, how’s the hand drawn Tiana theatrical release for 2027 coming along?
Don’t you say that name in front of my face again.

The series may be cancelled, but at least a likely 20-minute short form Tiana special is in early development for Disney+ now, a special that might be hand-drawn animated if they chose to cancel Tiana’s series because the Paperman-style of animation for the series was the wrong way to go and they couldn’t change its style due to making it even more expensive that ratings wouldn’t save it.

Also, I was hoping for a 2029 release, not 2027 release.

Get your brain checked and your facts straight, dude.

You’re never ready to write an obit on any movie, but then complain people are “beating a dead horse” once the flop numbers are obvious to all and encourage them to move on.
Hmm, I recall I wrote the obit on Mufasa after it opened soft and then ended up wrong because it legged it out. So yeah I determined then that I wasn’t going to write another obit on a movie until it’s surely dead, and certainly not 3 weeks ahead of time. So yeah you don't write an obit on something that isn't dead yet, let alone a movie not even released yet. So this preemptive writing of obits before there is even a body to bury is just strange to me. Its something that never happened around here up until recently, we used to at least wait until it was clear it wasn't going to make it before calling it.

Also in reference to beating a dead horse, when a poster is just posting empty theater stats over and over and over 10 days after opening, that isn't someone who really wants to have a productive discussion about the box office. That is someone just wanting to beat a dead horse for the lolz, ie trolling just to gloat. And so why shouldn't we encourage them to move on so we can get back to talking about the actual box office.

So back on Thunderbolts, if some of you think its going to flop, cool. But lets not write the actual obit before the patient is even sick, ie the movie is actually released to theaters and flops.

I'm still hoping for a Zemo appearance. Even if it's just him alone in a tag scene dancing. lol

Or, even more likely - looking like he's dancing alone until the camera pans over to Valentina getting her groove on, too! :D

Both are the same phenomenon, though. Are they not? Trying to prematurely write 100 obituaries or grave dancing and writing 100 obituaries. It’s easy to gloat if you have no accountability.

The only time most people disappear is when the films do quite well. It’s those that were ghosts for the better part of last year that lose their credibility on why they are here. To grave dance.

You aren’t distracting from the push I’m witnessing to write an obit on something we don’t even have released yet. Nuance again is lost, but there is a distinction between negative predictions and telling everyone to move on from a film we have zero clue on its quality.

It seems projections are still rising.. . I saw the bottom range moved up to 80…. Although the ceiling seems to still be 90

I don’t care what critics say about other movies. At this point, I am concerned what they will say about Thunderbolts* but I will ultimately make my own decision if I like it or not.

the critics aren't perfect, but they are usually right more often than wrong IMO. My personal MCU rankings match up pretty well with the RT scores
