Moana 2 is finally coming to D+ this week after being in theaters for a seemingly long time.

It was less than 4 months from the time it was released in theaters to its Disney+ debut.

In 2010 theater owners were up in arms over Alice in Wonderland getting a DVD/Blu-ray release 3 months after that movie came out. Now it's more or less industry standard.

So I’m curious what did you do prior to streaming things for free? Did you just skip movies completely?

As for Quantumania, it was worth it if you’re invested in staying up to date with every MCU film prior to the next one coming to theaters.
From Thor through Endgame, I watched them opening weekend theatrically and bought them all on blu-ray. I paid to stream Black Widow on the first day and later got the blu-ray. Everything else since then I've waited until it streamed on Disney+, though I subsequently got the blu-rays of the ones I thought were really good (No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness, Guardians 3 and as noted, Black Widow - oh and I got the blu-ray of Shang-Chi too). I expect I'll want to buy the blu-ray of Thunderbolts.

Quantumania wasn't worth the $2.99 I paid for the month of Disney+ and Eternals was worth less than that. :p
