Also a contradictory statement.

Color me purple but I would have loved them to make it the Dutchman and it just rose up out of the ocean and begin bombarding the town "hanz Zimmerman in the background" done in such a way I would jump off my boat to take his heart myself ahahaha

Will it be likely that there will be soft openings prior to completion date? Lucked out in 2009 and was about 9th in line to ride Space when it first opened for previews. Will be weird to go and not ride PoTC, but bring on the love! Load time was terrible last year it seemed.

It's less fun to walk off an attraction that isn't even supposed to be a water attraction with the seat of your pants and underwear soaked.
Not even Splash Mountain or Kali do that. Pirates does.
I just see it as "immersive entertainment" I mean, did a pirate never get their pants wet? I don't know if they wore underwear or not.

Are those boats not relatively new?
They are, but less bendy boats might be nice. Boats that maintain contact with load/unload belts, or boats that don't ride up the back of other boats might be nice. Heck, boats that aren't so ugly might be nice.

Imagine my horror when I spotted a WDW-style boat sitting behind the POTC show building at Disneyland. I hope they sent it back.

If I recall, the new plastic boats originally were made for Disneyland, but they rejected them.
Florida said, "Hey free boats!" took them, and stuck them in the ride.

Whatever they have to do so that I have the ride that was imagined when it was built. Rode it for years until the got the "new" boats. Once was enough. Should get free mickey clothes for putting up with a ride that soaks you yet has no warning that it is a wet ride.

If you had complained long enough, you probably could have.
I read a number of reports on here of people who became uncomfortably wet, complained, and were comped gift shop clothing.

I have no idea what solution Disney is going to try, if it's even in their budget to fix it, but if slowing down the boats would be cheaper than modifying the boat fleet, that's probably going to be their response.

Why can't they just admit they messed Up buy new old boats and call it a day. Why do they feel the need to reinvent the wheel and figure out a technically based excuse to aforementioned mistake.
