All this talk of Pirates. I stumbled upon a live feed last night on Periscope of some guy walking very close to the security fencing of the location where Pirates 5 is being filmed in Australia. Was able to see the pirate ship. While its not ride related its still pretty cool. Bottom pic even shows some possible show buildings.

Here's a closeup of the ship name plate. Saw a final Periscope of the ship last night. They have already taken down the mast and name plate. Most of the track leading to the water is also removed at this point. Filming at that location has wrapped. Can't wait to see how the scene plays out on the big screen.

Notice the details. The broken windows and algae along the water line. This is why Disney is Disney. All of the detail.
While others might just wrap something in green screen on a sound stage and impose an image of a ship on it.

Still feel this refurb will tell us the direction once and for all WDW is in. If it is a good quality refurb as has been stated by some of our people in the know then it again proves to me that WDW is getting the love it needs and deserves. If it is a crap job then the people will be pouncing as not enough being done. I know not everything on our wish list is going to get done but I want the ride in pristine condition and all effects workings..... I continue to hope and can not wait to see the results.

It IS a good quality refurb. Let's hope they finish everything planned.

These two statements contradict each other. If you don't know what they are doing exactly, you can't state the quality of the refurbishment.
Because you can't think of any examples of a planned high quality refurb that ended up half baked due to a rush job at the end?

Refurbs like this aren't allowed to go long, so if they fall behind schedule, too bad, so sad for us.

I got my information pack in the post today for my trip that starts in 4 weeks time. In it contained a booklet about the parks, containing maps and whatnot. POTC wasn't marked on the map of the Magic Kingdom.

Incidentally, on the back of the information pack, it says "Don't miss Pirates of the Caribbean, Magic Kingdom Park".

I'm getting mixed messages!
