Here in Tennessee the county we live in is out NEXT week and the county where I work is out this week. I know some nearby counties had been out last week and there are a few that will not be out until the 2nd week of April.

We were one of the counties out last week.

Today, March 29th, at 11:45 am the Magic Kingdom closed due to reaching capacity. It was a Phase II closure so only WDW resort guests and Premium/Annual Passholders were allowed in the park.

Some wait times taken today at 2:00 pm.

Big Thunder Mountain--- 90 min.
Buzz---- 60 min.
Dumbo---- 60 min.
it's a small world------ 75 min.
Jungle Cruise ----75 min.
Peter Pan---- 70 min.
Space Mountain---- 120 min.
Splash Mountain----- 105 min.
Winnie the Pooh---- 75 min.
Haunted Mansion---- 60 min.

 But a crowded day in the MK beats a day in the real world.

I would think the rides with the best capacities are rides like Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear and Spaceship Earth. You know.. rides that never stop. (Although I do know these rides can get a line on them anyway, especially Buzz..)

Us too!

We used to have an April spring break but, they found that it made our TCAP scores suffer so they bumped it back a couple of years ago.

yeah this is all SB, and its not just FL schools that you have to worry about. You need to take into effect almost every southern state that is within a good days drive, and of course states like Georgia, Alabama, and South Caralina. I know of a few people including myself that will be/did disney during there SB. and I have seen people on SB as early as the last week of feb, and as late as the last week of april.

Phase 2 isnt really "Closed". Phase 4 is where Nobody else is let in.

FWIW, Phase 1 is closing the parking lot and turning cars around back to Epcot.

Oh wow... I figured most schools were off this week. I know in NJ the schools are closed. This is one bad week to be in WDW.

Not all NJ schools are closed. The school I go to is closed, but the one where my mom teaches at is open.

Lets see I was there at the MK yesterday it was insane!! I mean I got there early and all walked right onto stitch. After that I went to Buzz which had a long line so I didnt ride. Then I wanted to go on IASW but they had audio problems so I didnt get to ride, but walked on again to Haunted Mansion. Rode Pirates which was a blast. Then after that I just shopped caught a show of Cinderellabration and then saw SADCT. But I think it was alot worse on last thursday than yesterday.

One of my coordinators said to me that if the guest can actually GET to the gate during a phase 4 closing, they would let them in. That is a pretty big challenge since all forms of transit are stopped from entering!

Just for the record, phases are (they added a new one!)

Alternative parking:
Due to limited parking, guests arriving at MK should use alternate parking at Epcot and use Resort transportation to return to MK.

Phase 1: Guests with MYW base tickets, one day tickets, guests with no admission, and CMs using a main gate are turned around at the Auto Plaza.

Phase 2: Only resort guests, AP/PAP, Park Hoppers, guests re-entering the same park admitted, ONLY if using a taxi or resort transportation. (Auto Plaza is closed)

Phase 3: Only resort guests and AP/PAP admitted. (Only resort transportation)

Phase 4: Closed to all guests. (basically no incoming transportation)
