When you're finished riding Maelstrom in Norway, and be honest now....... when the doors open to the room with the Norway movie, do you walk all the way through and exit back to World Showcase, or do you actually stay and watch the movie? I'm always taking the former option.

I don't think we've ever seen the movie. So yes, we walk right out. Now, because they have Fastpass for that ride, you can't go straight out like you used to, now you HAVE to go through their store. Didn't used to be like that.

The first time I watched the movie, but after that I just scooted through, unless traveling with someone who hadn't seen the film yet. I always feel a little sheepish when I walk past the CMs, though!

Love the ride, don't love the movie so much. We've seen it once, but we're really not into it. If fact, it seems like more than half the people that walk in, walk right out!

Walk? Never...Sprint, yes!

Watched it for the first time last year, will never do it again. If they would update it I would certainly give it a go again.

We find the stampede, which we usually participate in, amusing and a brilliant cap to the magnificent voyage that is Maelstrom... :lookaroun

Me Too! I feel like I am being rude and insulting by just rushing past. "Sorry CM but this film about your homeland is boring..."
I feel bad, but never bad enough to actually stop and watch ;)

I was so relieved when we were there 2 weeks ago and the movie was not operating that day. For once, I didn't have to feel guilty zipping through the theater.

I think the entrapment is what gets people. The movie is good, but not something to be seen twice, three times, four times in one day or over the course of several days. Maelstrom is a "Thrills Light" style attraction with re-ride-ability, thus making it a popular stop in World Showcase. All the movies in World Showcase—Canada, France, China—are good, but people typically don't get back in line once they leave the theater. They are re-watchable, but not in the rapid succession in which, say, the Maelstrom boat ride is re-ride-able.

Let `em run. Quieter for everyone else. Beautiful music, beautiful cinematography.

Agreed!

However my wife and I rarely stop for the film, maybe 1 out of every 5 rides on Maelstrom. With her parents coming down from Michigan next weekend, I'm happy to say that'll probably mean we'll see the film.

I've even watched it recently on Youtube! :)

My husband and I saw it the first time we went together in '97. We haven't seen it since (and Maelstrom is on our "must do" list).

When I went for the first time in 2007, I thought my buddy had told me and the group I was with that "It's a great ride, you have to ride it" when actually he said quite the opposite.

So I told the group this, we rode it and when we got off, we were pretty much like "what the heck was that?"

I don't care for the ride itself, but going there since then twice (3rd time in August), its almost like a pilgrimage to mecca for us to go there and ride it, no matter how bad we think it is.

In regards to the movie, each of the three times I've ridden it, its been off, so I've never even had the chance to make that decision yet.

WHAT!? People skip this film? It's only the best 10 minutes of action since the lightbike sequence in Tron. You guys are missing out on a spectacle of vikings fighting trolls, vikings fighting zombies, AND vikings fighting aliens. This history of Norway is fascinating. :lookaroun

I never watch either. I don't think I've ever seen it actually. It just seems so boring in comparison to other things I could be doing at Epcot.

I always avoid eye contact with the CMs standing there. I feel like I'm insulting them somehow even though most of them probably don't care.

Not enough options in the poll.

I have stayed and watched a few times, but not every time. I like the movie, but it isn't required watching every time.

I didn't watch the film last time I was there. Granted, I only had one day to try and get through all 4 parks so I went straight from the ride to the line up at Soarin'.

My wife and I are heading to WDW in a couple weeks so maybe I will get to check out the film this time!

I have Norwegian blood and am married to a Norwegian. I would feel gulity if I left before the movie. :)
