I have Norwegian blood and am married to a Norwegian. I would feel gulity if I left before the movie. :)

Yes !

Well I am not (nor was I) married to a Norwegian, but I have a good dose of Norse in my bloodstream as well.

I stay and watch, as do my kids. I also hide lutefisk around the attraction to give it that authentic feel :animwink:

We really enjoy the film, and since liking or disliking is purely subjective, each to their own. Since seeing it many many times, we've actually picked up quite a few nuances to the presentation and associated some of the players to people we know in real life.

Usually we walk thru, but we have stopped to see the film before. Why do they keep the doors in the store roped off so you can't go out them and instead, you have to go all the way thru the store to the last door to exit? We never look in there anyways. :veryconfu

Honestly, I walk right through. Most of the movies in World Show case do not interest me, plus the uncomfortable seating and or standing makes it that much easier just to walk through.

lol that's funny! I always walk right through it. I probably watched it the first time I rode the ride, but that was the same year it opened and I can't remember exactly. I just remember being excited for a new EPCOT ride

The film is a great source of discussion for my wife and I . Everytime we get on the boat we just talk about the film and how we should stay and watch it but decide to always skip it because we dont want to wast time seeing it again.

If they ever update the film I'll stay and watch it. But, until then....
just keep walking,
just keep walking....

I watch it sometimes, but usually leave. The problem isn't that it's not good, it's that it's not something I feel the NEED to see again, especially AFTER the ride. I never could understand why it was put at the end of the ride.

The music and cinematography is very nice.

There should be a sign above the doors for all the people who walk out before the film that says:

"You are not the first to pass this way, nor shall you be the last."

I didn't even realize there was a movie - that must be how quickly I bail. I think I'll try to watch it next time - just to try to culture myself. :animwink:

If it were up to me, I would always stay and watch. The family won't let me anymore, though. I love that movie. It is sweet and it makes me want to go to Norway everytime I watch it.

I have skipped it for manny years however the past couple years I have said that I will stop it a watch it again. When I went as a kid all the movies were boring to include the 360 cinemas. Now I have grown to enjoy them. The past few years everytime I have rode it the movie wasnt even playing and the doors were just open on both sides and you just pass the fishing village by without really enjoying looking at it. When I was little you would get off the boat and wander around looking at everything and through the window of the little shed. It was great, then the CM would appear up on the porch and everyone would make a beeline through the theater before the other doors closed. Anyhow...days gone by..

That movie actually made me not want to go to Norway anymore. Horrible. It'd be a lot easier to support if it were a decent film.

I always watch it. I love the film. I think it adds to the total experience of the attraction. I do think maybe they should have put the film first like the old Living Seas film was before the doors opened to the sea cabs.

the video sucks, but there are soooooo many people (esp on these forums) who think there vacations should be all learning and no fun, so you really cant take it away from them
