The linked-to photos and blog on MouseSteps say every 15 minutes. Also said it's the same show each time during the day, and then a different show at night.

I'm wondering if at some point they'll have multiple "programs" that it'll rotate through like the Fountain of Nations at Epcot.

Thanks everyone - the video is mine, I talked with designers of the Luxo Jr. yesterday.
He had a night and day version, I spent many hours trying to get video (there were many glitches, much worse at night), and I have a night version going up, as well as a daytime version they played at night. I was told by another employee (manager) that there was supposed to be a Christmas one too.
I think he's adorable and I love the night version! I hope he'll eventually be interactive with guests, but I'm not sure if he's set up to do that. A friend of mine says he has the capability, but nothing is showing that yet.
He does play exactly on the 15's. If you get to see a glitch, he starts to come out - then it sounds like a record needle sliding along a record as the door closes. I saw that happen maybe 7 or 8 times yesterday.

I wonder if they can tie "Christmas Luxo" into the Dancing Lights. He already can control the tree colors, it'd be perfect! And I wouldn't mind a christmas TSM...

Well this is certainly a refreshing improvement
I wonder who it was that got this idea greenlit? Was it Johnny Lasseter? Little things like Luxo would have been the first thing removed from plans under the Eisner/Pressler and Eisner/Rassolu regimes.

Love it! WDI and TDO has something very nice here. I hope they continue in this direction.

These are the things we need brought back to the parks. These little details seem to have been slowly going away. I'm glad they brought a new one back!
I was there until 10pm last night trying to get the nighttime version, I have my own site but I was also getting video for another site. I'd have liked to have had a 9pm one, it would have been darker but with good footage of Luxo.
There were many, many glitches last night. I was there for 2 1/2 hours and only saw 2 full "night" shows, and then 2 day shows (one of them played in full dark, that I put online). It must have glitched 5 or 6 times between 8:30 and 10. I am going to show what a glitch is on YouTube also.

The night version is the same as the day version I had seen in another video, but with the added "dancing" lights on the trees. Though seeing he actually lights up is cool. Great possibilities here and I'd love to see stuff like this added in other areas.

I was thinking the same thing, earlier. The movements and the AA is similar.
They should add a "For the Birds" AA.:lol:
