I've come to the conclusion that IKEA empties your wallet twice as fast as any Vegas casino, and is just as large.

(First IKEA trip today... Holy schnikes! )

IKEA is an experience. But you can get some good deals.
What did you buy?

Another crappy day at wrok. I swear, if the people I work with weren't so cool, I'd have been driven to the edge by now.

Anyway, I'm going for a little stress buster run.

I'll be back on later

I'm assuming you still work for Target?

I went there today... I'm scouting out digital cameras for the first time, and know virtually nothing on the subject.

HP Photosmart M428 (I think) seems like the best option so far. $150 is perfect for my price range, and connects with the comp so I can post a few random pictures instantly (and have my first Photo TR come next September! :drevil: ).

Absolutely nothing.

You may read this next sentence in a half-hour after fainting due to the last one... ;)

Seriously, it was worse than post-Thanksgiving shopping in there. Just opened up on June 7th in Canton, MI (1.5 hours from here), and it would appear it's still opening day. It took us 15 minutes at least to find a parking space.

It took a lot of willpower to pass up $.50 all-beef hot dogs, though.

Danny - I've not heard too many good things about HP digital cameras. Make sure you do some research before you buy. There are some pretty good ones out there now at reasonable prices.

I find it less entertaining everytime I go.
It can be a bit overwhelming.

We bought our daughter a Sony Cybershot for Christmas.
It's easy to use and does a nice job for about $150.

Hi Dot! It's hot & humid here too - Supposed to break the 97 degree record high tomorrow....

I think it might be too hot even for the pool tomorrow.
The humidity is supposed to be very high.

Sony's are pretty good - canon and Nikon are good too. Personally, I love my Nikon!

Yeah... I've heard the same things. However, my sister has had an HP for about a year now, and that's what took those pictures I post in the contests (including the now-infamous sombrero). For $150, it seems like an ideal buy for a first-time camera owner like me.

There was, however, a different camera that doubled as a video recorder for the same price. I think it was Canon, but I forget now. I'll have to bring a list next time I go... hopefully it'll be before August!
