It is down until Oct 1. Doubt that is time for an upgrade. Might just be draining, cleaning up, and paint.

I totally forgot about this refurb until I walked by it today and saw that the walls were up. Glad I got to ride it on Saturday.

Could they have (realistically) prefabbed AA's/effects/props and then install and test them over the course of a week or two?

I don't see why not, its still august we have about 2 weeks and a month left till this ride opens up

Yes.
Many AA's have been sitting backstage, as well as a few boats up on 'dry-dock' awaiting the refurb.
Pumps are busy draining...

Agreed. Our last day at MK is the 26th, so I have my fingers crossed for an early opening. Especially since SM will only be up during 1 of our 3 MK days.....

JC will be down when we go in 2 weeks time, this is one of my favourites, I'm not a coaster person so these type of rides are perfect for me.
I know what you mean. This is one of my favorites due to all of the lame jokes from the skipper

As in NEW, additional AA's or doubles of existing ones that are repainted/prettier than the ones currently in use?
Me too.
Hopefully, it opens on time, as we leave on October 2nd.
I would hate to miss it.

Ouch that sucks that sm will only be open 1 day for u. I got lucky, im there the 16th to the 23rd and space will be open that whole week. Bite my tongue lol...

Woah. Methinks a handful of you need to keep your expectations under control. Maybe we'll see all the hippos and elephants make a return and a good cleaning for everything else, but beyond that... you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
I'm sure JC will see a proper refurb in the next few years, but this ain't it.
