Mary Poppins would be an excelent replacement for 20k! :sohappy: Just think, fantastic AAs, special effects, the works! That would be the most logical thing to replace it with.

Harry Potter? Nah, it would be loads better in MGM. It has nothing to do with any Disney movies even though it has to do with magic.

And what's the deal with casey junior? Why does everyone want it at WDW.

You know that miniature town in Germany at Epcot? Just imagine what it would be like in a full fledged ride going through something like that. Plus, it would be a very relaxing yet fun ride to go around on. Especially the hill.

hmmmmm...they may say it's a temprary meet/greet area..I also recall them saying the same about Camp Minnie mickey at DAK..here it is 5-6 years later.
Either way I Think if done well the meet/greet area is perfect for FantasyLand..especially to those with kids...and A Hundred Acre Woods sounds like the perfect solution.

Is Camp Mickey & Minnie only a meet & Greet area? I thought that Legend of the Lion King was back there and something else I can't think of right now?

By the way, I hope that doesn't sound sarcastic, as it isn't meant that way...I'm just not sure what part of DAK Legend is part of. I also thought I saw the exit to another ride or show back there....

Camp Minnie/Mickey has meet and greets, The Lion King show, and the Pocahontas and her forest friends show.

Although it may have been designed to be a temporary land, I could not imagine DAK closing this area for reconstruction, as the park is already so small.

I also think the temporary land thought must be gone, as the Lion King theater had been upgraded....it was pretty much an open air pavilion, now it has walls and A/C.

Thank you I thought there was something else there....we have never seen the Pocahontas show that's why I couldn't figure that one out. We do go see the Legend and I do love the air conditioned enclosure rather then the hot sticky outdoor show they couldn't do in the rain.

It Takes Two

Two new attractions:

One attraction as a part of Toon Town, whose show building replaces the current 20,000 show building (hidden behind the trees.) Maybe a Roger Rabbit or similar attraction? Entrance would be parallel to Minnie's house, unless they want to expand a little bit beyond the circus tent gift shop (which would give them a lot more room for facade theming.)

The second attraction as part of Fantasy Land, where the current lagoon and trees in the back are (aka "garden-to-be-area.)

Two totally different attractions, with the area divided in order to add a new attraction to each of the two "lands," and whether or not you like ToonTown, it needs a new attraction to draw crowds evenly throughout the park. ToonTown seems to do a little bit better over at Disneyland. Draws more guests and feels more "complete" instead of a thought in progress.

Why are so many people complaining about a ride that has been closed for 10 years that is finally being demolished? And they are not saying "it's about time" but instead they are saying "why are they taking away this attraction?"

2KLUTS took up too much room. When the whole building is gone there is probably is room for 2 E-tickets. Fantasyland will now be able to double in size.

Official word is there is room for 3 E-ticket attractions.

Well one reason the temporary status may be curretnly off is the popularity of the legend of the lion King show...I have never been(planning on it in October)but I have heard nothing but positive feedback on the show so I doubt they will eliminate it anytime soon...still I thought they said the meet and greet areas where temporary.

The show format is very different. It uses what I have heard to be old floats from the Lion King parade at DL. I enjoyed the show, it is a "fun" show.

great Ideas

I have loved all the Ideas but let us not forget what is under the formmer 20LUTS. I do not think they can put eny heavy Ride with out a cave in. wich would not be good at all for disney world

My ideas:

1. Bring all of Mysterious Island over. I think Journey to the Center of the Earthlooks like one of the greatest rides ever.

2.A Steamboat Willie themed raft ride that would be for Toontown, and a Robin Hood dark ride for FL.

3. A Kingdom Hearts dark/flume ride.

Welcome friendogoofy!

This has been mentioned here several times in the past. The utilidors do not extend under the former 20k lagoon or showbuilding. As we know the utilidors are on ground level, with the MK 14 feet above this. The lagoons bottom was on actual ground level, with its top / rim / roughly level with the MK`s floor, i.e. 14 feet above real ground level.

This may have already brought to the table but what about expanding toon town. I believe that the one in Calif. has some pretty cool rides. From looking at the Satellite picture of the park I think they could do that and expand fantasy land too....

I know i joke around about the toad. but seriously, 1 or 2 dark rides would match the fantasyland decor very well.

and while they are at it they could bring back my toad.
