Yep.
Disney's private island.

Thanks. I had heard the also made a repica of one you could dive on there. Is that true? I am a chicken and am terrified of the water (I know I will be eaten) but would possibly chance it for that.

I think you could easily use Mary Poppins to create an E-ticket ride.
How about a dark-ride-spectacular journey through the film?

You could enter through a recreation of Cherrytree Lane, pop through a holographic chalk pavement picture into the Jolly Holiday. The ride vehicle could be a next-generation Omnimover that rolls on a Indiana Jones platform. You could speed up or slowdown that way, as well as add motion effects. Imagine joining the fox-hunt and horse race!

For the climax you could wonder accross the roof tops of London to Chim-Chim, then wind-up in the midst of the fireworks-battle before popping back into the Banks' house. For a merchandise tie-in they could have a kite-shop at the exit.

That wouldn't be half bad and it would fit into the theme. Too bad that it will neve happen.

Not just 20K, but all of Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom needs to be reworked. It is horrible compared to Disneyland. I was there last week and the entire land, minus all the boards, is really poorly themed and in much need of help like they did in Disneyland in 1983. Out of all the land in the Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland, in my opinion needs some big help. Philharmagic is a step in the right direction. Even all the facades could use help. And whats with the boarded up shop/restuarant between Snow and Pooh?? I think it used to be Lumiere's Kitchen. I heard rumor that they wanted to use the old 20K space to expand Toontown, and bring it up to the standards that Disneyland's is. Whatever the case, someone please help Fantasyland!!!!

Magic Construction Wall Kingdom .....ugh

better than Magic Doing Nothing New or Worthwhile for almost 5 years Kingdom. Construction walls are like a pregnant female. It's a pain in the ______, but when things are done, the results are almost always worthwhile :D

Cast Members of Fantasyland call the entire northen half of the land - "The Great Wall of Fantasyland" -- It streches from Toontown all the way to the old skyway (hoping over Ariel, of course)

Umm I think 20K Leagues' new area will just be a grassy garden type thing for awhile. In the 10 year plan an E-Ticket may go there, but not now!! I agree character greeting are dumb. Toontown has them already! We don't need to meet Ariel who is some cheesy girl with fake flippers on! :-( I miss 20K LEagues!!!!

"We" who? By the lines that I see around the characters, I think you are very much mistaken. YOU may not need to meet them, but others, especially the small children (and Vince), really enjoy them.

Don't be selfish!

We already have character dinners/lunches/breakfasts RITE THERE IN THE KINGDOM plus we have Toontown. I know about meeting Ariel it's cool but do we need a specific line-up location, can't she just walk around? I kno she can't "Walk" in flippers so can't they just have her vehicled around somehow? I just disagree with lining up and waiting to meet and greet. Sorry to be offensive.

You know, think of the meet and greets we already have though. I don't think we need more.

We have Ariel's Grotto, Toontown Fair, Fantasyland Skyway Station (soon to be changed into character meeting) and plenty more. For real, they probably will have Mickey in two places at the same time eventually!

This is a pathetic display by the company. An attraction should be built, not a meet and greet or a garden area. This may be the only area large enough to add something great to the MK. Once Stich is done, they should focus on building something at the 20K site.

The Magic Kingdom, compared to the other parks at WDW, already has plenty of attractions.

In the last year, Philharmagic, Wishes, and now SGE have been built.

WDW really needs to focus on the other parks, not so much on the MK.

Sounds good to me. It isn't pernament.
Mickey's Toon Town Fair wasn't supposed to be permenant, but it's not going anywhere.

Camp Minnie-Mickey went from a temporary land while Beastly Kingdom was being developed, to being the most popular land in Animal Kingdom...

So, don't be surprised if, in 20 years, you're telling your children/grandchildren/great grandchildren "When I was young, there used to be more than just a garden here... It was an actual ride" (Then, as you walk over to the MK hub- "This statue used to be of Walt and Mickey, not Michael Eisner" ;))

At it's busiest, I saw the wait to meet Ariel at 90 minutes!!!

I think the garden area will be there for years and years.

Ill tell you what, though, for those of you who DO NOT like a crowded Fantasyland, this is the PERFECT solution. That is gonna be one HUGE garden area, and if they do meet and greets in there......well.......welcome to the NEW, MOST CROWDED AREA IN ALL OF WDW!!!

The normal Fantasyland walkway will be empty as parents and children wait HOURS (literally) to see one character, and then HOURS (literally) to see the next!

Those of you who like dark rides (me), don't get your hopes up. Developing a new dark ride is as much in Disney's future as a ferris wheel with flashing lights that read "Universal Studios Rocks!"

Actually, at this point that means we've got a pretty good chance!

Maybe this rumored garden will be Alice's Curious Labyrinth from DLP. Why else would it take seven months to complete? Just my two cents.

Or Fantasy Gardens from Hong Kong Disneyland?

Fantasy Gardens

This fanciful garden is where you'll meet your favorite Disney characters. The Fantasy Gardens consist of many gazebos, each with its unique theme.

Or Pooh Corner from the same park?

Pooh Corner

Adjacent to "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh", this shop literally brings Pooh and his world to life as if a Blustery Day has picked them up and blown them right off the pages of a storybook and created a semi-dimensional Hundred Acre Wood. The silly ol' bear can be found overhead, clutching tightly to a cluster of balloons. At the end of this Hundred Acre Wood tableau is Pooh's house - homey, cozy and warm-feeling with whimsical Pooh touches and, of course, tumbling piles of "hunny" pots. There is also an area where you can purchase photos of yourself that were taken while you were in the attraction.

It would/will take 7 months because it's really a big undertaking. When they closed it in September 1994 they were real lazy and they left the track, scenery and all that other stuff under the water for 10 years.

So they had/have to drain the lagoon, rip out the former track, scenery, etc underwater, then destroy the caves and mountains that the track went into, then destroy the loading area. Then they must gut it all out of there and flatted the land out, and level it with the rest of Fantasyland. It takes longer than you would think.

I can see why people want to meet characters. My opinion is why not station the meet n greets basically right outside of the various attractions? Like Pooh could be in front of Pooh's Adventures, Snow White in front of her ride, Peter Pan in front of his etc.

Ariel's Grotto will be closed for theme matching -- does this mean that they are making it no longer look like an underwater enviorment? I think now that the water's gone Ariel will seem out of place. Very out of place.

This would quickly get out of hand. There is not much roomed to get through to tomrrowland as is. But stick a greet station in front of Pooh? This would add legions of people the would stretch from Pooh to the great 20K wall. So, people who want to go to tomrrow land would be trapped in the endless mass that has come to pay homage to the Pooh in both ride and greet forms.
