You know Tammy I have been trying to become a "Disney" Travel agent for several months, and I know one of the reasons I have heard a "no" is because I have NOT taken a Disney cruise or any cruises for that matter (1st will be 010112 :animwink:). I know it's not until 2013, but the way things are working out it I still may not be doing my dream job then either, so this is looking more & more interesting! I get to meet all you wonderful ladies that I have grown to know via Trip reports, and scrapbook pages! Send me some info. Here's just a few things.....I WOULD need to share a room unless my mom & aunt joins me, the cheaper the better, and I AM a raging AX Murder.....oh wait.....I mean I'm NOT I'm NOT a raging AX murder!:lookaroun:lol:

Oh and Kelly I might just take you up on that offer, and carpool with you from Pensacola to Orlando! We can share in the gas money & I can help with the long drive! If I go, and this sounds good to you then we will talk later! I know you have family here, so if you plan any visits here let me know & we can plan a meet! :D

This cruise sounds super fun!!! I'm trying to talk the mother and the sister into a Disney cruise in spring 2013.. fingers crossed they want to go!! If not, maybe I'll join you ladies!

So should keep our fingers crossed that they say no and then you'll go with us? :lookaroun:D

I'm thinking cross our fingers that our cruise beats all if not BOTH! LOL!

Yeah, I get to go! I should have the deposit in December! Gonna be fantastic!

Yaaaaayyyy!!! More cruisers joinin' the party!

Tammy, make sure I have names & stateroom numbers whenever they're ready to post so I can plug 'em in on the front-page!

Oh yeah! We'll hafta see how all the plans play out closer to cruise time to know for sure if I'm drivin' or flyin'. So many variables can affect that. I'm actually gonna be in the P'Cola area in the next 3 weeks. The boys & I are going to South Alabama to visit my folks for 2 weeks and I knoooow my momma will want to go down to Pcola to visit my Gramma. Not sure how much free time I'll have while there but we can try to meet up if possible! I'll PM ya when I know more!

What exactly does an axe-murderer look like???? Just curious!

Funny story! Way back when, before online socializing was fairly normal, an online Cabbage Patch Collector buddy & I wanted to go on a road-trip together to the big Appalachian Christmas event in Georgia. I think this was back in 2000. Anywhoo, both of our husbands were all nervous about it. We had the whole "axe-murderer" thing as our running joke. That lady lived just a couple hours away from the town where my parents live in Alabama. We planned to meet in person at a little deli in town (because it had to be a very public place) before we finalized the trip plans to put our old men at ease. It was so fun! Her husband tagged along, too. My friend, Linda, and her husband, Tom, ended up being some of the sweetest folks I've ever met. They're like my parents' ages and absolutely a hoot to be around. As it turned out, Linda's brother was the preacher at my parents church! Linda & I got the green light for our road trip and we had the time of our lives going to the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids together. It was like 2 school girls having the ultimate sleep-over! So much FUN! Linda is one of my oldest Cabbage friends and to this day whenever I see her & Mr. Tom it's like long-lost family gettin' together. Thankfully, Tracey didn't give me too hard a time about roomin' with a collector I'd not met in person before when I went to the big convention in 2009. It was so fun trying to pick a person out in the Atlanta airport that I'd never laid eyes on before in my life. That friend, Kate, and I ended up being 2-peas-in-a-pod. We even eat our french fries the same (with mayo & ketchup)! That's the awesomeness in doing trips like this. I don't think of it as random or the friends I make as accidental. Our paths are crossed under the guidance of a power far beyond us and I've made incredible, lifelong friends as a result! I cannot wait for our cruise! More forever friends!

Oh! I don't have a pic of an axe-murderer but I doooo have a pic of an axe-maimer! He's the angel on the right:

100_0354.jpg

Villian = my big brother, Jerry / obrienIII

Victim = me! (not kidding)

But in Jerry's defense, we were only 6 & 4, mom shouldn't have been sleeping so hard, the axe should've been put away out of the reach of busy-body children who sneak out of the house, and I shouldn't have been a dumby & stuck my hand in front of a swinging axe.... :lookaroun Accidents will happen. I love you, Jerry!

See Tidbits scrapbooking page. Definitely an axe murderer.

When you have kids, anything can happen. Jerry & I were quite the handful, to say the very least. No wonder my poor mother is a nervous wreck now! :hammer:

I have a scar on my forehead from where I fell into the corner of a piece of furniture and cracked my head. I fell because my brother was practicing his calf roping skills on me while I was standing up, and he pulled on the rope, and I fell down, right into the edge of the ornately carved breakfront. I think I was 9 and he was 8.

Kinda sorta similarly (not really, but hey), one of our WDWMagicers was arriving at JFK airport and started a thread asking about car/van transportation into NYC. I'd gotten to know her through trip reports, and offered to pick her and her family up and the airport and bring them into midtown. They were five people with luggage, and I had to borrow my sister-in-law's minivan, and (this is the similar part) my husband had a very hard time dealing with the fact that I had no problem going out and meeting someone I only knew through the internet!

For the record, my husband refers to you all as my "crazy Internet friends"

I have a confession to make , I am an .. ..........goodnevil

Actually I am addicted to trip reports and travel blogs, and there are lots of great ones out there. They give me too many ideas and my husband thinks I need to stop reading so much.

Here is a link to the blog that I have done on a couple of my trips and I don't think I would be labelled as crazy or dangerous, just addicted to travelling.

I thought it might be helpful at this point to talk prices. Lots of people have asked, so this will give you some idea.

These can change at any time, any moment, so this is current as of right now, 7:04 Eastern time, November 7, 2011.:)

There are so many variables here. Inside room, ocean view, balcony. 2 people in a room, 3, 4 or even 5. There's no way I can list every variable here, so your mileage may vary! Again, this is just to give you an idea.

A verandah room that sleeps 4 people, with two people in it, is currently about $1580 and the deposit is about $292. So the room is about $790 per person and the deposit is about $146.

A verandah room that sleeps 4 people, with three people in it, is currently about $2100 and the deposit is about $384. So the room is about $700 per person and the deposit is about $128.

A verandah room that sleeps 4 people, with four people in it, is currently about $2642 and the deposit is about $481. So the room is about $660 per person and the deposit is about $120.

A verandah room that sleeps 5 people with three people in it, is currently about $2315 and the deposit is about $428. So the room is about $771 per person and the deposit is about $142.

A verandah room that sleeps 5 people with four people in it, is currently about $2858 and the deposit is about $524. So the room is about $714 per person and the deposit is about $131.

Cruise prices are pretty much all inclusive. Your only additional cost that you can't avoid will be tips onboard which are about $48 per person for a 4 night cruise.

Other costs that are optional and will vary by person include, transportation to and from the port, insurance, a hotel the night before, souvenirs, alcohol, and excursions in ports. You don't have to spend a dime on any of these, well you'll have to spend some to get to the port, but you probably know how much that is. Everything else is totally up to you.

FYI, if you decide to book through me, Kingdom Konsultants has onboard credits of $25-50 depending on the category. If you pay in full with a Disney Visa you can get a $50 onboard credit from them. And if you book online, which I do, you can get another $25. So that can add up to a lot and help out with those tips!
